I reckon we can send out a clear message in this game to all title challengers. If we knock in 3 or 4, I reckon there won't be a dry seat in the Chesea dressing room. :p

Tough game but at least we're at home after the international mid-week. Does anyone have an international round-up for our players? I'm wondering if anyone has any significant travel plans...
And what's the status of Christiano? The club has been virtually silent on him since Friday. The announcer this weekend said that Fergie wants to rest Heinze "a few games" to give him a break after the Confed Cup so he may not feature/start.

hes in the Portugal squad to play on Wednesday, so obviously it wasn't that bad.
btw, to those going to the game, get a match programme, i read on another site it has a Ronaldo interview as the main thing.

I think maybe Fergie decided that since Portugal was going to play Ronaldo 90 mins this week he might as well rest him against Everton, having already played against Debrecen on Tuesday. There's been no word on a serious injury so I'm not worried. I just wish that Portugal would come to some kind of understanding and use him just a tad less than they do. I don't mean not call him up... I mean subbing him off after 60mins or playing him in the second half or even taking him off after 75, especially for midweek games.
That said, I'm looking forward to the match against the Villans.
I do have questions about who will play, and where they'll play. Will we see the return of Ryan? Will Ronaldo come in for Park?

I doubt Portugal will do that, he's like their new main star now they'll use him fully. We might have to wait until Fabio Paim makes it to the international stage before we see Ronaldo get a lil break.

Will Gabby start?
I didn't think we handled high balls into our box, including set pieces, too well against Everton and even though O'Shea is of similar stature, (well actually taller), Gabby is much more of a battler and probably more of an inspirational figure to help stop some of the complacency that I thought I detected when defending free-kicks and long balls.

your right, thats why i've suggested a few times to move Heinze into the centre with Rio and play Silvestre on the left, Rio simply doesn't want to get his hair messy and Silvestre just ball watches, with Heinze he will throw his head at anything.

Will we see an Ole comeback?

i think he needs some reserve team games first, the manager has stated he won't be rushing him back, he said we want him back for a long time rather then a little bit then he gets injured again.

Maybe he plays against tonight?
Yeah, i want him back for good, but at the same time you want to see him play, NOW.

Of course, this assumes that Ronaldo and Giggs are healthy and that Heinze is ready to play a full game.

I say Utd 4 Villa 0. We are a different class from the rest of the premiership, and if we play our passing football with lots of movement + Ronaldo back...We should rip them a new one.

IM getting more used to the idea of Park being used as a supersub, after of course the defense has been fully marinated by the three Rs.
Can you imagine a fully charged and fit Park terrorizing a tenderized defensive line?
Havoc....pure havoc.
Yes. I love a good ribeye on the barby.

Must be David Jones.
Interesting to see Kenny Cooper back in the starting lineup for the reserves. Though maybe he's being prepared for another loan or something.

Did I miss something? Isn't David Jones on loan? Where is DS when you need him?
