What's this? Gold tops with the home shorts? Eww. What happened to the black shorts??

Please tell me this won't last and that it was done just because of Bayer's black home shorts.

Ew..

Horrible horrible kit.

We should burn them and replace them with the CL kit. :D

Or atleast a white version of Bayerns current home kit.

I love it with the black shorts.

And the white version of Bayern's current home kit will most likely be the 2006/2008 away kit.

I agree, the gold shirt has always sucked. white, or blue or black, but definately not gold!!

Well, of course they played in white because of Leverkusen's home black shorts. We won't see that too often this season though.

Feel good about it, it was a 5-2 victory!

I meant to mention this after the game... it looked like Bayern was still waiting for their away jerseys to be printed, and Felix just said "Dudes, just wear these for today". If was the worst looking ensemble yet... I mean even the badges don't match or syncronize!! OMG! ;)

The black CLS jersey would have even been a better choice than the gold jersey. The gold jersey to me is SOOOOOOO last season already. At least the Black CLS jersey would have had the same colors in it as the white shorts and socks (red with the colored badge).

An all white version of the current kit or even an all grey with red version (similar to their training kits) would be cool.

The gold kit does look good when it is worn as it is meant to be worn (with black shorts and socks) but anything else just makes it look second hand.

Munich (AP)- Increasing oil prices has forced FC Bayern Munich, the champions of the 2004-2005 Bundes Leagua, to take drastic measures to cut down on their expenses.

The champions are reporedtly seen on the well known online auction site, EBAY, placing bids on kits, made in Hong Kong, and offered a tenth of the original price for their own home and away games.

Result of this, rather cheap, behaviour was seen on the field last saturday when Bayern executives apparently misread the description of the kit that was put on the item and purchased red and white shorts to go along with the golden away shirts they had purchased on an auction earlier in the week.

"It's outragous!" Byaren executive claimed, "We are going to post a very negative feedback for this seller and make sure he does not sell another item using his MadeInHK account!" added the furious Bayern executive.

Despite such reaction AP has recieved a number of reports claiming Bayern is going after the very same seller because of his/her cheap prices.

:D :D :D

I might be wrong but I heard FIFA has changed the rules and teams are only allowed to wear all dark or all light color jerseys (shorts and shirts)...don’t know if you noticed but this was the reason that forced Brazil wear those ugly white shorts with their yellow tops in Confederations Cup!!

That would be a strange rule! But Dortmund this year has played with yellow shirts and black shorts. Maybe they made a rule about opposing teams both wearing dark shorts...or maybe the same color shorts.

I have noticed that, regarding the shorts. I can't fathom Brazil with the yellow jersey and white shorts. Same thing with the American women with the red tops, blue socks, and white shorts.

I always thought that bayern has worn an extremely dark navy metallic with the gold kit. because it goes with the blue trim on the gold kit. Someone had brought up bayern with black shorts, i believe that is only for last year's CL kit, i don't know about this years though. Hopefully they can transfer CL to next years away. Or maybe a white or grey would be nicely welcomed as well :D

I think that the shorts and socks are black. BUT WHY DOES THE GOLD SHIRT have BLUE STRIPES?? Look at your own pic posted BayernWake, the stripes are most definately blue. If you step out in the sunlight, which mayber fairly uncommon for you (lol, u know jk), you will notice your gold shirt has dark blue trim and needs the light for the blue to come out. It does look though like they have black socks and shorts though.

There must be something wrong with your monitor. The trim is black. Wait, let me check the replica jersey that I own. One moment...

...yep, black!

I would like to have a white jersey and navy/blue shorts as next year's away uniform. Similar to the France away kit, one of the sharpest kits in football.

edit: should work now.

I found that if I stood directly under the strobes at CroBar, the same thing happened. JK! ;)

A few dozen more washings and I am sure BayernWake's jerseys will straighten itself out.
