Nice one, good pics. Is someone going to put a roof on that stand?

What is Martin Jol doing in the Portsmouth end? :p
Is that what the Tottenham supporters were singing 'We're wet and we're two nil up' LOL

no roof but should be getting a new ground soon, they started demolition of some nearby buildings last week. should look like this one day-

your fans were also singing
"you're dry and you're two nil down"
I think getting soaked increased the volume of the away fans

So it's a redevelopment and not a new stadium?

yes
the pitch will be turned 90 degrees
the Fratton will be extended
the south stand shortened
the away end and North stand will be demolished and replaced with new stands
the new away end will sadly (for us) have a roof and the portaloos will be removed

And where do the fans go while all of this is going on?

they are going to build most of it outside the existing ground before they demolish the old bits, turn the pitch then finish it in the closed season.
thats the way i understand it anyway

I bet Manderic hopes the builders don't get delayed then.

I was looking at the new Emirates stadium pictures. I felt so upset.
What a beautiful stadium.
They will be selling it out every week and they will have so much more dough (50% more in fact).
We have White Hart Lane, which I love, but it's no hair-raiser or worldclass stadium.
I hope we can knock down the West & East stands and add another tier to the Paxton End, whilst building giant 3 tier stands (West & East) interlinking with the Paxton and South stands.
But once again, I have to return to the real world. Oh well.

I've never been to Portsmouth, but whenever I have seen them on TV, it seems to always be raining or windy or both.
Is it always like that? How close to the sea is the stadium?

It's good that Portsmouth will get a new ground, no team in the Prem should have a worse ground than some Championship (and even League 1) teams.
Thanks for the photos!

Cravern Cottage isn't a good ground either.
Weren't they going to upgrade the Cottage?

I thought they were, i saw the grand plans and Fulham played at Loftus Road for a bit.
Maybe they have actually... added more seats perhaps. I don't remember now.

I know that they deweeded the concrete stairs on the stands, but that's about it I think. I am sure Mr. Bee will give us the info.
