I was in another forums and some respected users, said that he was way past it, or he isnt himself anymore. I just cant wait for him to shut everyone up.

I was gald to see him take a few shots from outside the area. I hope it helps to shut up the people who try to say he can shot from anywhere but the 6 yard box.

That free kick wasn't too shabby either.

What about the free kick vs Antwerp that was a cracker. He does shoot alot more outside the box now like against debrecen and everton. His free kick vs Everton just clipped the bar and there was a shot that went just wide that hit the back of a steward. From what I've seen I'm happy for him to be the free kick taker from now on but then he can't be in the box to head or finish it. I think, and hope he will have a great season but I aint to sure about Mr.Henry at Arse.

I was Ruud's principle defender in the offseason when everyone was bitching and worried... well, not everyone, but alot of people. Ruud's class and we know that he will get goals as long as he plays.
Ruud is special, some strikers need good consistent service, ie. they need a few decent crosses and good link up play with midfield to produce, some strikers need clear cut chances to score and then there are a group of about 5 strikers in the world who don't need consistent service or clear cut chances or even what would be considered an opening, they just need to be in the game.
Don't get me wrong, Ruud thrives on chances and good service, but he's not just a great finisher of chances, he's got a radar and he'll find the ball, whether its a deflected cross, a rebound or a mistake - he's going to pounce.
I also think Ruud's got the potential to show Rooney and Ronaldo a thing or two.
Rooney's finish was very Ruud like, he never looked up at the goal, he saw the rebound and concentrated only on the ball (many strikers try to score on the GK, Ruud knows and it looks like Rooney will too, that if you put the ball in the right spot, the keeper doesn't matter).

Agreed and good insights on Ruud, i think when he plays to the level we all know he is capable of then you guys are more menacing , however this season i`m putting my money on Rooney, i just think this explosive talent is going to tear apart defence lines in europe should he stay injury free. He is hungry for success and silverware with you guys and with German 06 coming, there is no more motivation to top the premiership scoring charts.

Ruud has now played 4 years for Man Utd. Two of those years were sensational, one was good, and one was actually poor (not just poor by his standards). Unfortunately, the "sensational" years are the most remote.
I think he's still got it in him to be a great player, but I do think he's more of a question mark than one might wish.

Check his scoring record, particularly in Europe.
He can do it all.

Scoring goals from good chances, and half-chances and putting himself in good positions to score - which is a very underrated skill.
