I'm playing more and more with some Latinos. Can someone tell me what some of the common stuff you say on the field is in Spanish?

left, right, square, keeper, away, send it, etc.

Thanks!

That's smart. By the way, joto means gay, not what you thought.

te ayudo (tay ah you dough) - im helping you, same as me tienes
pilas (pea lahs...think this one is colombian) - like hurry

al lado (ahl lah dough) - to the side
derecha (day wretch ah) - right
esquierda (s care dah...not exactly, but close) - left
pasala (pass ah lah) - pass it
bola (bow lah) - ball ... i have never heard some1 use balon

Damela (DAMaylah) means give me it basically. Say it when you're open/when you want them to pass it to you.

Fuera (Fwerra) means out, so i yell that when I want the kids to whack the ball out of the penalty box. Maybe thats just a thing they've gotten used to me saying, but they do it.

Matalo (MahTahLow) means kill him, i say that when I want the kid to tackle/try harder against a player/when im frustrated.

Atras (AhTrass) means back, like hit it back or get back.

No, it's jota.

A few terms off the top of my head:

Fuera de lugar-offside
cancha-pitch
carrilero- winger A term used by Andres Cantor. I remember him using it for the Dutch wingers and El Cabrito.
¡está habilitado!- he's onside!

it's ******** not punta, punta means point. for the soccer terms it would be good to sit down with someone so that you can get the pronunciations right...otherwise they might get the gist of what you are saying, but it may take a little bit.
buena suerte.

my friends always called "mirra" (SP?) for a give-n-go

I'd highly recommend learning, "passa la!"

The only you really need to know is: aqui

The literal translation is: here
The actual translation is: give me the the dang ball and get out of my way while I demonstrate all my best dribbling moves thus showing for all to see what a superior soccer player I am and instantly gaining me hero status and the applause and rose petals of all my aficionado.
:D
