The future looks bright for the National team. We have more and more young players in Europe, three at Man U alone. And MLS gets better every year. Just think about this, by 2008 we will have at least six soccer specific statiums in the USA. Maybe as many as eight. That means we will never have to play a WCQ on an American football field again. Halleiljua.

I was just thinking about all the young defensive talent we have coming along.. Other places on the field too but we will have some nice depth in 5 years in the back..
Except at left back, of course.. ;)

This is great now I can plan trips in the next few years to check out the new stadiums. But I still think that WCQ will still be played in american football stadims, just because of the capacity

Who the hell cares if we play at an American football field again? Personally, I'd rather see a stadium sold out at 70,000 instead of 25,000.

Small fields and girdiron lines.

did anyone see Dempsey's behind the leg perfect kick to Twellman. An American player with skills like that?

Yeah... I had to pause a moment and ponder that seamlessly natural display of skill. I mean, some guys throw in a play like that to showboat, and it's usually just a wide-open cross at the end of a blow-out. But Dempsey was in heavy traffic, and he showed no sign of using that play in a preconceived, superficial manner. It was just a subconscious, purposeful pass by a very gifted player.
