These 2 seem to be our choice strikers this season... but which one do you have more faith in during the season and in big game situations?
i would def choose Cisse... he's got speed, strength, can hold up the ball, and works very hard all the time. Morientes is sloppy and dosent seem to be all there or working hard on many occasions. He's also very one dimensional in his style of play to me.
What do you guys think ?

If we are just going to play 1 upfront, I would choose Cisse. But both strikers would benefit from playing together. So I say, play them both.

I believe they've promised Jose a pie - they'd better deliver! Besides, they were probably going to sing "you ate all the pies" at him anyway. :)

Cisse for sure. Morientes is becoming slow and JUST CAN'T HIT THE TARGET. cisse is abit selfish and has a ego but he's better than morie.

I don't remember morientes ever having speed, but that said, I can't ever recall him being asked to serve as the lone striker.
If I have to pick, it's easily Cisse, but I'd prefer them to play together. Cisse and Morientes both need someone to play off of.

I've seen Nando score some great goals but like you said he's not a speed merchant, that's just not the way he does it.
Cisse has scored good goals but not from the wing. both their tallents need to be combined as a central pair.
As for who is the best them...well not a great question.

I think they would be very good playing together. Morientes is quite simply one of the best headers of the ball in the EPL, and Cisse is a bullet. They should compliment each other very well, but some players just don't have chemistry.

Moro for his head (accuracy); Cisse for his feet (pace).

Morientes would be the first name I'd write on the team sheet when I got to choosing my strikers.

Both and If they start together more often liverpool will have tonnes of goals instead of experimenting with the lone striker up front crap.
I t has not worked for liverpool and they should stop with that.

They both need to start
Cisse is the speed guy
and Morientes in the guy who is good in the air.
