David Bentley allowed to leave Arsenal

I saw in the news that Wenger is letting Bentley go. I think he is left-footed, but I'm not sure. I've only seen him play a few times.

Now that we won't be getting Gonzalez (at least not at the moment), does anybody think Bentley might be an affordable fit for cover on the right or left flank?

I rate him pretty highly and I'm surprised Wenger's letting him go. He should be a star in the future and an England international. :confused:

I think it would be a good purchase, but I don't know how cheap he'll come. I'm sickened by the whole Gonzalez thing but signing Bentley would help ease the pain.
