Question for all you hip folks out there: What's the monthly cost for your cable/dish service, if you don't mind? We currently have (that evil force known as) Comcast but just the basic package. ie: No HBO but no box to rent, either. I think the costs for upgrade would push our cable bill past $75 bucks per month!! :eek: Much as I'd like to block MTV and select other channels from our TV, that just seems too much to pay. Am I un-American in this or simply missing something?

We have Time Warner and got a great deal when we moved here. We get digital cable, the DVR box, and almost all the channels and for only $49.99. This was supposed to end in February, but they haven't changed our rates. So were sticking with this until they do!! Then maybe we'll look at satelite and get the Setanta channel. I don't like paying for it, but its only $12.99 a month and I normally pay for at least one PPV game which is more than that.

Im really beginning to a) be happy it's an early kick off and pubs don't open until 12pm on a Sat and b) Worry that Cam and Brad are going to find an off license........... :p

They sell beer in cans and bottles that we can get the day before you know!!;):D

At our incessantly hot Watermelon festival, hanging next to the "Save a horse Ride a cowboy" and "Redneck woman" shirts oddly enough was a shirt with the picture of the Beatles crossing at Abbey Road. I called the kids over jumping up and down saying "Look that's where Mommy's going" and of course they were not really amused. LOL

I watched Samantha Brown's Passport to Europe London episode and Love Actually (more for the scenery and silliness than for the reality obviously) this weekend to try to get a bit of it out of my system. Basically my parents have come to the conclusion that I have completely lost my mind, but I frankly think they should have realized this long before. LOL
