Forgot to mention this earlier but, if you ever come to Asia, you have to go to Macau, which is like the Asian Las Vegas. Macau's actually part of China, but it was run by the Portugese for 100 years (like Hong Kong was run by the Brits), so there's that influence as well. All the major casinos are building branches there, as the Asians just love to gamble.

i've been there twice...the Garden District is really beautiful. Did a "voodoo tour" of a cemetery, visited the battlefield where the War of 1812 ended.

i was there for the 2002 Sugar Bowl, my Fighting Illini got pounded by LSU, kept hearing "Tiger Bait" the entire time :mad:

Nah, the best part about Vegas is using it as a one night stopping point before going on a 5 day trip down the Colorado river through the Grand Canyon. Now that's a vacation.

Hey guys! Good weekends?
Yep. Counting our blessings, though. Some friends through church offered to give our little girl (5) her first horse ride. Made the mistake of trying out a yearling though, and he ended up throwing her!! Minimal damage, so we're playing it cool for Julia's sake, but oy what could've been. I love the horses, but there's a reason that love is mostly from a distance! ;)

Also discovered a new German wine. A reisling in a blue bottle, though I don't recall the brand. Very nice.
