Well, the vibe I'm getting is that she wants this to become something serious, and I don't want to lead her on. I'm not really over my ex yet, and it would be unfair to be anything but honest in that regard.

I really liked Sideways too, but am I the only one who left feeling really depressed?
As for the weekend, it's a tough one - probably breaking up with Jill tonight (long story). Saturday it's hanging out with the guys, and then Sunday it's up to Philly for the match against the Russkies.
What I like about Sideways is that it didn't follow the normal Hollywood formula. Life isn't always happy endings, but you deal with it and move on, and you find some good from time to time. I liked the ending because it showed Miles coming to grips with reality and taking a positive step forward. We are then left to wonder if it worked out or not, but it doesn't really matter, it is important that he took the step. Man, I sure am waxing philosphical too early in the morning!!! :D
Also, isn't Jill the new match.com chickie? Hope it all goes as good as can be expected.

IMO, be honest about it to her and see where it takes you. Don't just break up with her. But what do I know?

I feel the same as Cam Mike! Don't just end it-let her knwo that you are still dealing with the fallout from your ex and would like to hang out and be friends (friends with benefits maybe??!?!???!? ;) ) but don't completely close the door. But again agreeing with Cam-what do I know! Good luck tonight!

Yes, I liked Sideways for that reason as well, but I was still really sad at the end. As for Jill, yes she's the new match.com chickie. To be fair, I don't really plan on breaking up per se, I just assume that's what'll happen after I tell her where my head/heart are.

See, I can't do the friends with benefits thing, it just gets too messy. One person always has hopes for "a chance for greatness" to borrow a line from "Say Anything."

They are actually in the Santa Ynez valley just outside of Santa Barbara. I went to a number of places there one year with a friend and we had a blast. Gainey wine is from there and they have it here in CC. Good stuff. Look for Santa Ynez wines next time you hit the liquor store!
I know geez :rolleyes: ;) I have a good good friend in SF...i would rather visit there!
