I was wondering if you might take in the Stones show in Atlanta. That's a TON to pay for an 'opening band' though and I can't see them playing more than 30 to 45 minutes.
That's how I feel about Trey in Charlottesville...
Picking apples for kings and queens of things I have never seen
i've been diggin' this song recently...and "Late Greats"
Yoss...I love Asheville - I hope you see a great show there! If I had to live in a southern town not in Virginia it probably would be asheville with Chapel Hill right behind it.
p.s.-Hi red...miss you too :p

I just saw Sin City. A Fvking Great Movie.
For all who saw it, Who was your favorite Character and what was your favorite story?
My Favorite Character was the Superhero guy, I forget this name. The guy who saved helped those hookers.
And my Favorite story was with Micky Rourke as that killing machine and the last one with Bruce Willis. For a Second I though Bruce was going crazy when he was seing that little orange guy.
Thanks for reminding me - I have to get this on DVD!!!

Marv was my favorite character, and i found the first story to be the best as well. The second one was pretty dull and uninteresting, and i actually hated that main guy from the second story. Jessica Alba was smoking in that movie, but its a little weird seeing her hook up with someone who seemed more like a father figure that saved her as a child.
Great movie though, im going to get the dvd as well.

just heard there is talks of a Joe Dirt 2. now I am sure some of you hated the first and are wondering why Spade would make a second. I, on the other hand, think Joe Dee-ir-tay (that's Dirt all Churched up) was awesome. I hope they do make it and don't give a hoot if it goes straight to DVD.

This was a perfect Comedy Central movie. I'd never pay to see it, but I laughed my ass off when I watched it on cable.

I hate commercials and editing too. Sometimes if I get sucked into a movie that's on TV, and it gets to a commercial, if I own it, I'll pop it in the player, or add it to my Netflix list.

It is quaint, and quite convenient to Blowing Rock, Boone, etc. (which I adore). The colleges around ensure a more intelligent population and more stable economy. The scenery and climate are perfect, and the artists in the area are great at bringing programs and shows into this small, rather remote area. My only quam is that it is such a popular retirement area that the permanent population (basically excluding the college folk) may be a bit too old.
I like Chapel Hill...great schools, tons of great universities, and convenient to the beach and the mountains. There is a lack of pro sports teams in the triangle, but that is the only drawback I see. Chapel Hill has more residents with PhD's per capita than any other town. Even after we moved to Durham, Raleigh, etc., we would continue to drive back to Franklin St. to spend a day every month or so. Wake Forest is a great little town there too with a wonderful downtown area, but the Raleigh expansion has creeped out to the point that it is about to swarm it.

My favorite character was Miho, the hooker/assassin. She was hot and she was deadly and she never talked. Like I told my girlfriend after the movie, if you pay to hook up with her, you must get one helluva session!
My favorite story was probably the one with Marv, who was my favorite speaking character. He was such a multi-faceted character that you never really knew what you were getting from him. I also loved the way they started the film and the way they ended it (and no, I'm not giving any of that away).

The worst part here is that they take commercial breaks at the worst moments. The movie will run just long enough to get you involved and it will be really building up to something and then, without warning, they basically jump-cut to a commercial. Perfect example: I was watching AI last night and, right towards the end, they have the part where he goes to see the Blue Fairy. In the middle of her sentence, they cut to a commercial. It was driving me nuts.

I got pretty nervous when I first clicked on it b/c it said free porn, but luckily I scrolled down and did see what he was talking about. It's individual pictures of the Premier gals with their jerseys cut provacatively from that group pic that was up here before.
