The release says nobody will be named to take that slot. I'd like to agree with you, but.........

Doesn't mean much. Mind games.
Actually the more I think about it it may not be tomorrow--Arena may wait and see how he does vs. the Revs on Saturday. He won't start vs. Trinidad but if he's anything close to fit there's no chance he won't be on the bench in case we need him.

Dempsey "should" replace DMB on the roster.... Lewis into the LM.....

No surprise with this announcement. The surprise was that he got called up in the first place after his club ruled him out for a match a couple of days previously.

Lewis was going to play at left mid regardless.
I think we may shift away from the 3-forward formation now that Beasley is gone. I'm thinking 3-5-2 or the ol' trusty 4-4-2.

20 is a low # to call in. You get 18 for the game. And there always seem to be a few injuries in camp.

Plus, 3 of the callups are goalkeepers. That leaves even fewer field players.
However, only 14 guys play. And it is a midweeker...so there will only be two full days of training. I think they'll be ok.

Wait a moment. I had two snotty messages yesterday about how my suggestion that Eddie Lewis play left back was stupid because Eddie is hurt, you dumbass. And nobody corrected those posts. Now you're telling me he's playing?

??
Eddie played for Leeds on Tuesday, and played well.
You tell me who these snotty mcsnots are, good sir, and Big Rose will give them a stern talking to, and perhaps a disapproving red face  to boot.

Yeah...
Maybe they were thinking of EJ, but anyway. I don't want EJ reinjuring or agitating his injury, I'ld rather he be on the bench.

Yeah, with no EJ, no DMB, a "burned out" LD and a pre-season McBride...the door is wide open for a new goal scorer to step up.
And for Taylor Twellman of New England...opportunity knocks...

You don't need a long bench for a single game because there's no necessity to rotate as you may do for a mid-week/end-week series.
Arena already has Convey, Lewis and O'Brien in the left midfield. Ralston can pinch in there in an extreme emergency.
Vanney and Berhalter can play the left side of the defense.
So, this shouldn't be a problem.

a "burned out" LD
I was fully expecting that Beasley had opted out for fatigue just for the sheer irony of the situation.

But with Beasley out, it means we are down to the field players that are going to be on the matchday roster. We have 19 players left, and 3 goalkeepers, two of whom are going to be dressed for the game. That means if we lose one more field player to injury, we're going to have to either replace him or play with a shortened bench.

Foxboro is only about an hour from Conneticut. Arena could always "Rev it up" if he had to on short notice

Unless he waited too long, since the Revs are away at Colorado next Wednesday.
Seriously though...it's one game against T&T...what could go wrong?
Nothing?
Right?

Metrostars are only a couple of hours from Hartford...Hell, never mind, we are trying to win the game.
