Benitez applied shock and awe today. He released the dogs of war. He had both Morientes and Cisse upfront. Our equivalent of Crespo and Drogba. CSKA playing at home did not know what hit them.
Come on Mourinho. You have the WMD. Use them. Imagine Sendoros caught in between Drogba and Crespo.

OMG, Benitez used 2 fowards! Thats insane! Has anyone ever tried that before? Groundbreaking tactics indeed by the crafty Spaniard.

Well, the two forwards were not Thiery and Henry. Can Arsenal beat CSKA 3-1 in an away game? They had to fight each other in Norway last season.

I thought Air Drogba was the equivalent of two strikers?

Wait until he plays with Crespo. He won't have to outmuscle three players because Crespo will be there for a tap in.

Its CSKA Sofia, not Moscow. I'm pretty confident that Arsenal would have no problem stomping the Bulgarian champs, especially if we deployed Benitez's new 2 foward formation! Then again, who knows, i can't even remember the last time Arsenal had to play qualifiers to get into the CL. ;)

But you remember them fighting in a bus in Norway because they couldn't beat a weak opponent. This isn't about Arsenal. Even Wenger knows that Arsenal suck in Europe. If other teams have played two strikers before. Chelsea are not doing it. That is the whole point.

...your "equivalent of Crespo and Drogba"???

Are you being serious?

You can't honestly believe Drogba is any good can you? Please tell me you don't support you teams players blindly?

Crespo is world class, but Drogba? Come on. Get your facts right.

Ummm, did you watch the match this past weekend? I'll be the first to agree that DD wasn't worth the amount of money we paid for him but he surely isn't crap.

I doubt Jose is desperate to imitate the tactics of a team/manager that finished 38 points behind us in the league.

You're not a closet hubcap are you Zani?

...thanx for the history on Liverpool, but I am a yid. And yes, Defoe is better than Drogba. But that's where it ends unfortunately.

I here Steve McClaren has come up with a revolutionary way to tackle this '2 forwards' phenomenon.

Get this, the crazy bastard is going to deploy TWO CENTREBACKS, who will then be surrounded by two other in positions he has dubbed as FULLBACKS, with a "GOALKEEPER" (who will apparently be allowed to use his hands in order to save shots  ) standing in between the "POSTS".

Ladies and gentlemen, football as we know it, has changed forever.

If the two center backs are that poser Rio and that slugger Sylvester. Dorgba and Crespo will have a feast of goals at old tough road.

Old Tough Road? what is that supposed to mean, exactly?

ZANI, some day you'll learn that just because you use a word that sounds like another word, it does equal wit. It has to mean something; that is one of the basic elements of language - the basic element, actually - communication and understanding.

ZANI - forever molesting the English language.
