Birmingham has picked up the strikers it badly needed. If everyone has a year equal to expectations, then top half of the table. I won't jinx it with anything specific.

If Dunny comes back and plays well (and doesn't re-injure his damned lower back/hamstring) we should have a finishing spot in the top half of the table. Let's say 10th.

Forsel is a quality finisher. I was so angry that we didn't get him over the Arnesen affair.

If he can get you 20 goals, then you can expect to definitely finish higher than 10th.

I predicted you lot finishing 9th a stingy defence a quality finisher in Forsell and I reckon Pennant could be the surprise package of the season (if the law don't get to him first).

This will be a great season for the neutrals looking on at the chasing pack. The teams crammed in from 4th till 11th will make some great headlines.

My prediction is that we'll finish on the right half of the table. Forsell will score 15-20 goals for us, plus 10 for Heskey, another 10+ from El Pistol off the bench, and a decent haul from our mid field. If Melchiot can stay injury-free, I think we'll concede fewer points against the bottom 6, which is what we really need consistently to push for Europe.

If Saturday was any indication, I'd tip your best achievement of the season to be the second round of the Carling Cup, to be beaten by the Gunners reserves--and with Edwin "the ice rabbit" Van der Saar gone, I'm not entirely sure you're better than that.

Considering how well Fulham dominated in midfield and with the attacking flow, I will just say that if we're going down, you're coming with us :)

Realistically, I think relegation is out of the question for the Blues this year. However, I'm not one to slag the Championship--it's the 4th best attended football league in Europe, and that's got to count for something. Oh, and I'm happy to see you're a Wolves man--they'd better get their butts up to the Prem next season where they properly belong. Cheers to you, Fulham and Spurs.

I'm a bit hazy on this as I'd already left B'ham when it happened, but weren't there 4 midlands clubs in the original break-away premier league, or am I just on something (Sheffield, Coventry, Villa and Wolves?)?

By the way, what on earth is going on with The Fors? The man hits a hat-trick for the Finns, but hasn't notched yet this season? We need to find a good shrink for the Fors ("just imagine yourself scoring that hat-trick over and over again"), light a fire under Pandiani, and get Heskey off the treatment table. Come on Blues!
