Looks like someone watched the All Star game. Twellman's finish was the kind of poaching we sorely need and Cunningham can add some pace. I really like the look of the midfield.

Lineup's gonna be:

------------------Keller
Albright----Onyewu---Conrad----Convey
------Reyna----------------JOB
----------Donovan-------Lewis
-------McBride---------Beasley

-Twellman and Cunny fight to see who subs in at forward. They won't start unless someone ahead of them gets hurt.

Albright????? Good Lord.
Playing under Arena at DC gives you a lifetime pass for callups.

Albright????? Good Lord.

With Cherundolo and Hejduk both unavailable, Albright is your 3rd string RB. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone......

i thought beasley was out??? in which case, twellman or cunningham have a reasonable shot for that position (with the alternative being to move up donovan and slot in ralston or Q at the right mid).

i know he's on the roster, but is beasley definitely playing. anyone know?

A 4-3-2-1; the "Countdown" lineup.

....................Keller....................
Albright...Gooch....Berhalter....Convey
....................O'Brien..................
........Reyna................Lewis........
......Donovan.............Beasley......
...................McBride...................

Can you say possession all night long and at least 3 goals?

He's been nursing some minor injuries, but was expected to be ready for this game. Given the flight needed, the size of our roster, where PSV is in the season, and the other injured players left off the roster, I would assume that Bruce wouldn't have called him in unless he would be ready.

I'd expect him to be available, as does Arena. There's no other reason to bring him into camp....

Not a lot of depth there, if Dolo goes down again and is out for Germany we may have some serious problems. I mean Hejduk and Albright just aren't going to cut it. Scary thought

My guess:

-----------------Keller---------------

Albright --- Conrad ---- Gooch ----- Convey

------------Reyna -------JOB-------------
Ralston -----------------------------Lewis
--------------LD-----------------------
---------------------McBride-------------

If Ralston is not ready, then Tino could start, although you might see instead:

-----------------Keller---------------

Albright --- Conrad ---- Gooch ----- Convey

---------------Armas----------------------
----Reyna---------------JOB-----------Lewis
--------------LD-----------------------
---------------------McBride-------------

Please, let's not continue with the Armas Experiment - plenty of good middies for this match, don't need to use Chris....

I don't disagree, but Bruce likes what Armas does as a role player, and with less than first-choice options at every backline spot except Gooch, the destroyer d-mid may have value in Bruce's mind. Plus, Armas was better in the Gold Cup than he's been in a while (not real good or anything, but, hey). Of course, if Bruce really intended to start a destroyer, he'd have a backup in camp for Armas. That's probably the strongest signal that he doesn't intend to start Armas.
