Saw this today - Giggs' all time starting eleven:

Gianluigi Buffon
Javier Zanetti
Roberto Carlos
Lilian Thuram
Ronald Koeman
Luis Figo
Zinedine Zidane
Edgar Davids
Hristo Stoichkov
Andriy Shevchenko
Romario

Did anyone see the article? The web article uses Aug 8, 2005 as the date so I'm assuming this was a recent article. The only thing I can guess is that the magazine specifically told him that he could not include any MUFC players (otherwise there's no excuse for excluding Keane at the expense of Davids, including Koeman instead of Cantona, putting Stochkov in at the expense of Ruuuuuuud, or putting anyone ahead of Petey).

You can usually pick whoever you want, but most players tend to avoid picking team mates for fear of bias. Did he choose a sub and what was the set formation?

I didn't read the article so I have no clue what (if any) subs were used. IIRC they usually have a few subs

I figured it out - it was his "Best Champion's League 11 that you've played against"

Koeman was a centre back or sweeper, how could Cantona have been played instead of him?

I have seen about a dozen of these profile's in Four Four Two and what I tend to find is that Buffon, Zidane, and usually Nesta are on everyone's list. The rest are just personal preference but good to see Javier Zanetti on Gigg's starting 11, he is very under rated.
