The Guiseppe Rossi thread.

Very encouraging to see him not only kept with the first team but actually getting minutes thus far. IF he is on the bench this weekend he has been accepted as a 1st team squaddie and his journey has begun!

Just watch for this kid. I've been touting him for quite a while...now he'll be seen by everyone. If he settles, he will scores goals for us in the last 20 or so minutes of games if given a sniff of goal.

Hopefully this thread grows all season long.. don't really want to see him in the reserves - he is far beyond that...and he isn't a player we should loan.

Here's to Guiseppe in what shall hopefully be a breakthrough season.

His time to make an impact is right now... before we get cover for Keane moving Smith back to getting minutes up front and before Saha recovers from injury... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... but seriously, he's got a window of opportunity now and he looks class, he could become our new Solskjaer and with him, Park, Smith and Giggs on the bench, our bench looks notably better than it did last year.

I agree that Rossi should stay at OT. His best option right now is to be on the field with Rooney or Ruud or Ronaldo. This will give him some space that he won't get at another team in which he is the star.

As I said in another thread, based on the small amount of time Rossi was on the field yesterday, he appears to have a good football brain, that is, he appears to be capable of quickly deciding what to do with and without the ball. Now he just needs minutes. And muscle.

hes getting minutes but on the wing, he mite get away with playing there though like Rooney can because of his football brain. i've been thinking of what the bench would look like saturday and think it could look like:

Howard
O'shea
Smith
Park
Rossi/Giggs

it probably depends on if Giggs is fit or not if he makes it on the bench for saturday.. of course he really needs to start making a impression right away if he can when he gets the chance because Ole and Saha will be back soon.
