I figured i will beat df to this one :D
I think this should be a good match since two players should be gone in ismael and schweini. for the most part you guys had said this is more than likely the match that bayern could run into enough problems and could possibly lose. I think it should be interesting with possibly 6 midfielders playing 4 mid and 2 def positions.
I think this will be the probably lineup
----------Makaay-------Santa Cruz----------
-----------------Ballack---------------------
--Karimi------------------------Deisler-------
-----------------Brazzo---------------------
--Hargreaves--Demichelis-Lucio--Sagnol------
------------------Kahn----------------------
I personally like this as the lineup, Karimi is awesome on the left side, Deisler has almost always played on the right side. I think it is a coin flip between Santa Cruz and Pizarro for the other side of Makaay. And Hargreaves has been getting a lot of work in the past several weeks at lwb. Possibly making it interesting when Lahm comes back. Demi will probably drop back and play ismael's role, and i personally prefer Brazzo over Ze, but I do not know who the better defender is.

Hmmmm ....certainly going to be a harder game, thus this line up:
----------------Kahn---------------
Sagnol----Lucio----Demi-----Liza---
-------------Hargreaves------------
Deisler---------------------Schweiny
----------------Ballack-------------
--------Karimi----------------------
------------------Makaay-----------

I agree with SirManchester's lineup choice of Liza instead of Hargreaves in the back four. Owen is more accustomed to DM and I think he'd do better there. I doubt Schweini is matchfit yet so I would put Brazzo there. Is Ze injured? Seems like I haven't heard anything about him in a while. This is match is going to be a real test for us, but I'm confident will salvage a point, if not better.

UGHH!!!
First off, honestly Ze blows, I can not understand the guy. He had so much potential coming from Leverkusen, and you know what i have to be honest with you he has been constant. But that is not a good thing, because he is constantly AVERAGE!!!! He is overrated because he can somehow start for the Brasilian NT and he just plays par for us. I can't believe that bum signed another year extension with us. Also, Schweini if Magath is smart wont start playing until September
Also, DF, you crazy hooligan!!! Just bc i beat u to it doesn't mean you have to take it out on the thread. LOL

I trust the talk of Hargreaves is pure sarcasm... tisk tisk DF... ;)
I felt he was relentless in the last game and will most definitely be in the lineup against Bayer.
I think Deisler and Karimi are definitley qualified to start out at the wide position and in due time this may in fact be the lineup, but I don't think one game is going to catapult Karimi in the starting XI quite yet. Let's face it, the only lock at outside mid is Brazzo... why you asked (??!!!)... well, simply because Magath loves the guy and has pretty much started him for 90% of all the games he has coached, regardless of what we all think of who is more talented or should be there (he really should post here more often, that Felix)
I am going with this lineup:
...................Kahn
Sagnol...Lucio...Demichelis...Lizarazu
...............Hargreaves
Deisler.............................Brazzo
.................Ballack
........Makaay.....Santa Cruz
Karimi will come on in the second for certain, along with another attacker, likely Schweinsteiger if he his healthy or Ze Roberto if he is up for it.

BMike86... I like it! Brazzo is the only one that would need to be "relocated". This very well could be the starting lineup.

What's up w/ Pizarro and JPG???
it seems like jpg is rediscovering his early season scoring touch albeit in mostly low-profile friendlies...
pizarro doesnt seem to be playing much at all... dunno what the reason is for that...

I have faith that if Magath puts him in, the Pizza Service will deliver. At least, he won't agonize us with shots off the post...

Magath set to name unchanged squad (http://www.fcbayern.t-com.de/en/news/news/2005/05107.php?fcb_sid=2145e7ca70f6a70edc4aa00943e49b2c)
It is easy to imagine Felix Magath's sense of relief when he opened the dressing room door at the Säbener Strasse on Wednesday morning to find Martin Demichelis, Lucio and Willy Sagnol lacing their boots ready for the morning training session.
That means the Bayern boss will not be obliged to take emergency action in terms of reorganising his back four for Saturday's showdown away to Bayer Leverkusen. Valerien Ismael is suspended, with Demichelis set to play alongside Lucio at centre-half. Andreas Ottl is the likely candidate to take Ismael's place in the matchday squad.
Is it me or do the last two sentences not make any sense??? It says Demi is going to take Ismael's spot. Then it says Ottl is taking it.

keyword being squad - what i get from this is that ottl will be on the bench in the matchday squad of 11 + 7

Good to have you back Scorpio, do come around more often. :D
I think Magath should start Santa Cruz in away games and Pizarro in home games.

As much as it pains me to say it, I think Roque should get the starting spot again. I dunno, it just feels like he is about to hit his stride in a big way for Bayern. That being said I hope Pizza or JPG get some playing time, especially JPG as he seems to be hungry for some Bundesliga goals.

LOL!! Based on Pizarro's away goals record, I would seriously consider this.
I think Santa Cruz is on the verge of something as Scorpio mentioned in another thread.

We gave Santa Cruz a chance and he failed, seriously why is Magath playing him? Pizarro is much better.

I was going to say the same thing...somewhat. I think Bayern are giving him his last chance to be a starter on this squad.
