Hello!
At the moment I’m writing a paper in one of my classes about football in diffrent countries. This might seem a bit strange but I would like to know what peaple in your country eat and drink when you go and watch a footballmatch? By this I mean at the areana, before the match and in the break. I figure that you don’t have to live in the county of the team you are supporting, but hopefully there are someone in here who knows. Hope you can help me out.

To answear my own question, here in Sweden we eat hotdogs and drink beer.

Here in Midwest USA, I usually eat hotdogs, hamburgers, brats, and/or pizza.

Beer is the beverage of choice.

You picked a strange forum to get much response. You might try the same thread under Free for All. :)

Yeah. Free for all would be good. Heh heh. ;)

Maybe he wants to know what the French eat.

As for myself, I'm pretty cheap, so I might have popcorn or a pretzel at the most.

Your English is far better than my Swedish, but... I hope you drink beer instead of bear ;)

good luck with the paper, by the way.

in france the ritual is to get a kebab and a beer from a stand in the street on the way to the stadium. there's no real beer and nothing good to eat inside, with the only exception being monaco.

You've spammed both the PSG and Marseille forums with this same question, as numerous other forums (hence your yellow card.)

On thread in the main French forum would have been okay. There was no reason to create a thread on it here...

Panic / Randy please merge the two and move them to the main forum. Thanks.

I'm sorry if I have put my question out in the wrong places. I havn't used this kind of forum before so it was a bit hard to figure it out. Thanks for helping me do it better in the future. The reason I put in other forums beside the Frensh is because I wantet answears from people in different countries. Two threads in the Franceforum was one two much though. You are right about that. I've got some good answears though, that I'm very happy about.

You should try posting in the "Soccer in the USA" and "USA Men: Fans and Travel" sections. Also "The Beautiful Game" section. There is also a "Food and Travel" section in the Non-Soccer Related forum. You're not supposed to write about spccer there, but those people do know their food.

Soccertopp, I don't think I saw this thread in the Spain forum, you should pose the question there.

Before the match a barbecue. During the game an extra large Philly cheese steak!!!

I only assumed he posted this question in the various forums, to get the various country responses and see the cultural differences.

i.e - what do the French/Spanish/Germans eat before the match. Not a very open statement about the gastrominic habits of the whole football world...

Unless that is what you wanted soccertopp?

Please explain what you are researching...

We're here to help, but there are specific guidelines you have to follow. Posting the same stuff on individual forums is fine, so long as it's specific to that country. If it's not its considered spam and it's looked down upon...
