Bad Education is a great movie based in spain. this movie is crazy and it keeps you thinking about what the characters are doing. it is in spanish so for those non spanish speaking people you can always read the subtitles. this movie is pretty crazy check it out.

A Brilliant german film.
Loved that one myself too, definitely gets a bit overlooked when people discuss recent foreign films.

As my Portuguese is non-existant, is this City of God ?. Goodbye Lenin was great, as are these
1. Battle Royale
2. Das Boot
3. The Ring
I'd like to see Downfall as well.

You would be correct. I am unsure exactlly how to spell it, in Blockbuster it was under something in the Cs :D... So look for it, worth the rental or buy.

The Man Without a Past.
Very dark humour. You will hardly laugh, you will hardly cry - but when you finish watching it, you will say - "what a good film." I highly reccomend it.
Amelie - Great cinematography.
No Mans Land - Best war film ever.
O Invasor
Run Lola Run
Lilya-4-ever - Inspired me to work for charity...
Talk to Her - Almodovar at his best.
Das Experiment
La Haine - Yeah!
A bout de souffle - The ultimate, pisses over everything else. My no1.
Amores Perros
Y tu mama tambien
I've probably watched a sh!t-load of foreign films, and most of them I have forgotten...or are upstairs in the attic.

Akira Kurosawa is basically the godfather of Japanese cinema.
I think Rashomon is one of his best imo. And 'Ran' and 'The Seven Samurai'.... fantastic too....

If this also includes short flims then the Wallace and Gromit films deserve a mention as well.
