As the subject says, how much is the 2005 Final replica jersey worth?
I'm talking about the one with the special crest in the middle as worn in the game.
Didn't the LFC official store have a very limited number available for a steep price??

That's a good question. I've heard some were on sale on ebay for near US$500. Worryingly, though, I have seen the odd ad for knock-offs recently, but I don't know how convincing a job the intricate gold stiching is. I really wish LFC had included a proof of purchase with the number included to vaidly ID the 1,00 that went on sale.
The point for me is moot though, as I could never bring myself to part with mine. It will forever serve as a reminder of that night of nights.

Great, thanks.
I'm attempting to determine if the one I just bought is real or a fake.
No, I didn't buy it on E-Bay (those are fake!).

ha ha!!
I think not actually.
It has the little Liverpool pamphlet thingie on it with all the phone #'s to order tickets & enter contests & sign up for E season Ticket etc.
I don't think the bootleggers would reproduce that!!
I think it's real!!
What are the main differences?
I heard something about a registered trademark symbol under the UEFA Logo.

There is a small registered trademark symbol (circled "R") below and to the right of the final "E" in Champions League stitched in stunning gold. The gold stitching is backed with white fibers (not sure what its called). The champions league starball patch is centered directly above the "playdry" logo on the right sleeve, stitched on with what looks to be a very fine line. The stars on the ball are felt, but the white part is not. Attached to the kit were two cards, a two-fold LFC card with a picture of Kewell training with Owen and a small play-dry tecnology one. These, to my knowledge are standard with the normal kit, so I would base it mostly on the qulaity of the gold stitching and the placement and feel of tyhe CL badge. Might not hurt to request the online order information, as it was avalible only through the LFC store. The LFC order summary sheet is the only real proof, and the one you should demand. under description, you should see "UCL Final Home Shirt 05 L". Also, there will be a LFC direct account # at the bottom that you can call the club shop with any questions about your specific product.
Sorry I don't really know jackshit about tailoring, but if your Final Kit is missing any features I would doubt its validity. I really reccomend asking for the order summary sheet for true confirmation before buying a kit esp at some of the absurd prices I've seen. It was mailed in the same bag as the shirt, soi if anyone can't produce it I would be VERY suspicious.

As to "fake" versus "real", they all come from the same factory somewhere in Thailand or the Philippines anyway. Most "fakes" I've seen on my travels of that part of the world are just the same product, not sold through official channels.

Don't buy anything from that dreary ********. He a bluenose of the worst kind, bitter full of bile and bollocks. He used to have a merchandising deal with Bigsoccer, but they had to ditch him because of a variety of problems with the service, plus the fact that he would constantly troll the boards, this forum first amongst all of them.
Total gobshite, that lad.

Well, I can't speak to any of that because I don't know about it. I can just go on personal experiences and they've always been great to me. I've always gotten my stuff within 2-3 days of ordering and never had any problems. Sorry Matt, didn't mean to get you all worked up!

The only things mine is missing are the starball on the sleeve & the trademark symbol.
Maybe there was a 2nd run made that weren't sold in the official LFC store, but for purchase at non official stores??
Oh well, whatever, I'm not concerned.

There was no "second run". Just 1000.

Well, if you ask Chelsea, apparently you can spend $200 million and still not get it. :D
