its seems obvious thinks are a bit chilly. I think not playing Sol in the FA Cup final was a real split in the two's relationship.

THough Sendoros was on fine form, he is not Sol.....Period!

If Sol is fit or close he needs to be out there and work him into shape.

This is becoming strangely similar to the OGS/Becks deal a while back. OGS was on fine form but Becks relationship with SAF was the real problem and the form of OGS was an excuse. Never mind OGS was not and never was a good of a rightsided midfielder as Beckham on a consistent basis. That got lost in the suffle, OGS really hasn't played meaningful game for ManU since the run in that year. They were without a useful player amonst the two (becks and ogs) the following year.

The Campbell thing better not become that was......... or we should sell him, and if we really have this transfer kitty, then for the love of god, BUY LEDLEY KING. A young quick speedy player. His pace and fitness comblined with Sendoros brute strength would be a lethal back bone for years to come and really settle down that part of the park.

We need to move Hleb in PVs rols and see how he does. With him playing directly infront of Gilberto instead of Gilberto occasionally coming along side.

if Sol were 100% healthy he plays. Senderos looked bad today, looked shaky vs. Porto last week.

Well, I'm worried too, billy. Seeing Cygan out there today was not good.

If Sol's hurt, then he's officially injury prone.

If he's not hurt, it means we've lost both Vieira and Sol down the middle in the same year. That's probably too much for us to withstand if we're going to catch Chelsea.

A few thoughts:

1. I think Phil and Toure need some more time to get into rhythm. Considering everyone here last year was ready to sell Sol, since this pair worked so well together, I think it's premature to say that we're dead with them in there. They played pretty poorly last night (my time), but I think that they'll get the hang of things later on. I thought that, as the game went on, Phil seemed to get a bit better and made some nice reads and good tackles. He's also huge, so he was able to hold off Drogba at times. Toure also covered effectively a few times, but they have to communicate more effectively. On the first goal especially, Toure should have been inside of Drogba, since that's his area.

2. This is a different situation than OGS. Sol has been hurt a fair amount over the last few years, whereas Beckham was benched because Fergie's a prick. Whether he's really injured now or not only he and Wenger know, but this might be a case of Wenger wanting a more consistent pairing there.

3. We're not going to buy Ledley King and Tottenham won't even think about selling Ledley King, especially to us. Sp*rs supporters would burn down WHL if they did that. Think about all the poor, homeless rats!

Tottenham fans would become terrorists and bomb highbury and emirates stadium if we stole one more CB from them

Tottenham fans aren't that smart. They'd end up blowing themselves up testing the explosives to make sure they worked. :D

Theres no problem there, Sol has been injured for a "real long time" meaning he needs a "real long time" to recover. Wenger does not want to risk him. Better havin' him fit than not fit. Forget Ledly King, Spurs will declare jihad on the Gunners & we all know that ain't good ;)

No offence guys, but yet again I am forced to educate you in order to address some of the patantly biased/stupid remarks.

Beckham's on the pitch performances had been consistantly going down hill as he put more importance onto things outside of football. This eventually caused the breakdown in the relationship between Ferguson and Beckham. The latter was dropped partially to be taught a valuable lesson and also because he had been crap. Solskjaer took his chance and made the right-wing/forward postion his own and continued to impress. He was miles better than Beckham had been and contributed to one of our most dangerous spells offensively. Therefore Beckham was surplus to requirements and it felt it would be better for all concerned if he left. Ole would have continued to impress in that role if it hadn't have been for the various injuries he has suffered. So to have the audacity to question Ferguson, Solskjaer, support Beckham and even comparing the situations in the first place is frankly ridiculous.

It must have been galling to Fergie to see Beckham play much better for England than he was for Manu too...

For someone not in the know, what is Sol's status right now? Did he suit up for Sunday's game? Is he training? I really have no clue

He's doing some light fitness training at the moment, but he's unlikely to be in full training for a couple of weeks at least and then will need a few weeks to be ready for a match. I'd say if gets back by the end of September he'll be doing well.

What worries me the most is that Sol, over the last 2 seasons, has been out a lot! If he is injury prone and never seems to recover, dare I utter the words, might we consider moving him? When he was healthy, the man is frickin rock on defense, but alas that has been awhile.

When will he be back. If he is not ready in two weeks time. Drogba will read your rights again.

Yep, i think that was one of the reasons Crespo came on, Lehmann was playing in mid-field.

And ZANI closes in on yet another Arse Board ban.

Keep your Drogba fetish to the Chelsea board, please.
