Well Besiktas are proclaiming on their website that Klebs has been bought, yet I see no other reports of it? If we sold him surely we must be buying another midfielder, surely..

From the article:
"We convinced his wife and have almost completed the transfer," said Besiktas president Yildirim Demiroren.
Nice to know who wears the trousers in the Kleberson household. :)

Dunno.. something whatever he said had to edit it
First off, what is that? :D
Second off, I don't really like to see this unless someone else is being brought in someone in CM MUST be brought in now to replace him. I believe he could have done better without injuries as much (who havn't we said this about besides Feelup)but alas he himself will be better off leaving anyways, for his chances in the Brasil team if he ever had any...

if thats correct then we've made 5.5M/6M in a matter of days and probably lowered the wage bill by probably over 80K. theres got to be something gonna happen..

ah well see ya later klebs...slightly dissapointed we sold him...but maybe thats because i am a bit partial to him...thought he could have been a decent player...if given a run of games in his preffered position..but sumtimes these things just dont pan out.

I'm sad we lost Klebs... but even sadder that we lose him now, so soon to SAF handing the reigns in midfield over to someone else. I feel sure that a Smith, Scholes and Kleberson midfield trio would have worked (Keane, Scholes, Klebs couldn't have worked, cuz Klebs would never see the ball) but alas, Fergie was never going to play him. He had some injury problems and some problems w/ SAF so in the end this may be best for him. I wish him luck he was a player whose skill and style I admired.

Kleberson: The Next Diego Forlan.
I think he has alot of skill and vision but it is the same story, if he could have gotten a run of games he could have produced. I think he will have a good year for them and wish him the best. Of the bench players I thought he had the most skill. Unfortunately things didn't work out for him here.

Maybe I wasn't watching the right games, but I never saw Kleberson do anything...anything at all. I saw him PLAY plenty of times, but he was IMO 100% unmemorable and it was to me an obvious mismatch between player and team if ever there was one.

His one-touch passing to the 21 other players on the pitch was fairly impressive.

My mother always taught me to "Say something nice or don't say anything at all". Bearing that in mind, here is my tribute to Kleberson:

from Reuters
'Brazilian midfielder Kleberson signed a four-year deal with Turkish club Besiktas on Monday after two disappointing years at Manchester United. The 26-year-old, a World Cup winner in 2002, struggled at United after joining from Atletico Paranaense in 2003 and lost his place in the national side as a result.
"Today I have come from one big club Manchester United to another big club so I am very happy," Kleberson told reporters at a signing ceremony in Istanbul.
Besiktas executives said they had been trying to sign the Brazilian for a year. The deal consists of a three-year contract with the option of a one-year extension, the club said.
He will join Brazilian striker Ailton, who signed for Besiktas last month from Schalke 04.'

He is a good player with a lot of skill and potential, but Kleberson (just like Veron & Forlan) was never suited to the English game. He might do well in Turkey, kind of hard to tell since I have zero access to their league, but over here he just would not have cut it, simple as.
Now that the glitz'n'glam South American experiment is well and truly done and dusted, let's just stick with the hard bast*rds from down there (e.g. Heinze), shall we?
