5-8 are basically on the same level. They could reasonably compete with the top 4, but there is still a drop off. After the top 8 there is a significant drop off.

I agree with you, except that Honduras is better than Canada. Canada is a lucky team. They play good one day, the next day, an U17 team from Trinidad could easily beat them. They are not a strong team. They can play "beautiful" soccer, but a 4th place?????.. no

The States, The Snake-Eating-Eagles, The Teekoze and Hondies and then the Canucks. Canada will be the next Concacaf team to make a statement. Guat will always be Concacaf's Uruguay. Sally will make you earn the three away points. As will TnT and the ReggaeClownz.

You write that considering that the T&T U-17 team couldn't get past Bermuda in qualifying.

Hondu might be a better team than Canada but they have not proved it. Canada won the Gold Cup which no Central American team has been able to do. Canada last made the WC in 86 as opposed to Honduras in 82. In a head to head fight Hondu would most likely hand Canada their arse but in the long run Canada can out perform them..

Uruguay has won two WC's and has more Copa America's than Brazil and is only behind Argentina in that department. Guatemala cant even qualify to the World Cup.

I agree. I think Canada is a victim of their imcompentant federation. They have some good young players coming up. They remind me a lot of the 94 US squad in terms of style of play.

Not sure what sort of rankings these are.
Last 2 years?
1) US (Gold Cup Champ, WCQF, WCQ 3rd)
2) Mexico (WC2R, WCQ 2nd, CA 2nd)
2) Costa Rica (WCQ 1st, Gold Cup 2nd, CA QF)
4) Honduras (CA 3rd, WCQ 4th)
5) Canada (Gold Cup 01 Champ, 02 3rd)
6) Guatemala (knocked out on tie breaker)
7) Jamaica (Disappointing)
8) T&T (Disappointing)
Jamaica and T&T lower than Guatemala because of their poor Hex. Basically if you are below Canada you haven't done jack.

You forgot about the 2002GC for Jamaica and T&T. T&T were eliminated in the group stage while Jamaciamm didn't even qualify.
