*Jenas is making píss poor excuses about "living in a fishbowl" he can fuçk off, i dont care where but if it's less that 10million it will be a crap deal.

*Dyer gets a new 80,000 a week contract for playing píss poor for the last 2 season. I have no idea why and i don't really care anymore

*Bowyer, this fuçker should have been sacked straight after the Villa game but Shephard bottled it as usual.

*Souness, hasn't done anything in the Premiership and yet get appointed manager, he wasn't even our 3rd choice. What sort of club sacks a manager when they don't have a replacement?

*Shephard....I HATE HIM, he has fuçked the club up so much that i want us to be relegated so he will leave. All he does is suck money out of the club and restrict the manager by not letting him use the clubs financial strength.

I will continue to support the team, but only the name, players like Shearer, Taylor and Clark will get my full support. If Bowyer or Dyer scores i will no celebrate out of principle.

I share your pain. I think Dyer's a bit overrated. Shepard must go. I'm hoping and praying we don't relegated but if makes certain people leave so that we can rebuild, so be it.

The magpies are not the worst team on the planet, merely the most dysfunctional. We, the supporters are enablers. The more that this preseason unfolds the more I believe that the only way Newcastle is going to get healthy again is to get rid of Soundness.
Compare the Bellamy situation with the Bowyer situation. Bellamy hurt Souey’s feelings by calling him a liar and that cannot be forgiven. Bowyer physically attacks a teammate in a game and yet he is still on the squad. We shop Bellamy around because he is too much the bad boy to wear the black and white and yet we look to Anelka, the pillar of stability, to replace him. Instead of focusing on players we may actually be able to sign we go chasing Michael Owen.

I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall when we approached Owen. I am sure that the telephone conversation went something like this:

Freddie “Mike come play with Newcastle we are one of the biggest clubs in England”
Owen “are you playing champions league?”
Freddie “no”
Owen “UEFA cup?”
Freddie “actually we are a goal down in the first leg of the semifinals of the intertoto cup”
Freddie “Mike? Michael? It seems we lost the connection . . .”

If management was in touch with reality they would have sold Jenes a month ago purchased Boa Moerte and Baros (before you say anything the only real alternative is Vaduka) and had money left to pick up central and left defenders who would have given us a legitimate chance at Europe next season. On second thought that makes too much sense it is much better to continue to read about Freddie faxing bids to Fenerbache while dreaming that Owen, Nehat, Smith, Saha or . . .

I agree that Souness should have never been hired in the first place. However I believe that the problem begins and ends with the man that hired him Fred Shepard. He most go plain and simple because his next move will be to have Shearer player/coach and that will be a disaster. I also believe that it is are responsability as supporters to begin to organize some type of protest against the board. Whether that means not renewing season tickets or refusing to buy merchandise or flat out protest in the streets of Newcastle I don't know but as supporters we must be heard. By continuing to buy shirts and go to games gives Shepard the message that what he's doing is right. Look at Villa it forced their Chairman to spend more money or Man U where a least they were heard and you can bet Glazer will be on his toes.

My frustrations with some of the supporters calling for Anelka is that we need to change the image of the club and that starts with bring in lads that can not only play but are class individuals. The sooner this happens the easier it will be to recruit top talent to the club. Look how quickly people in Birmingham organized to keep the club from signing Bowyer. I wouldn't be surprised if I read today some of our supporters caling for us to sign Joey Barton(and his little brother). This has got to stop and we must accept our role and responsability in this matter.

Great post must spread some more rep blah blah..... I don't think Big Soccer will ever let me rep Toon Toon again but I saw your posts in the rivalries thread brillant. Must read for Toon faithful.

The team needs some serious counseling sessions, souness needs to be sacked, shepherd bought out and owen imported.

what happened to 2nd and 5th place? We were less than a dozen points away from relegation last season, and we arent any stronger this season

I think we are a bit stronger in the midfield with Emre and Parker but weaker up top.
Shepard out now!!

Imo Souness needs to be given a bit more time and players.

Souness.... meh

we belong in the top tier of europe, and we need a top tier manager to bring us back there. Maybe if england flops at the WC we can get Sven

Souness shouldn't have been hired in the first place. However since was given the job, he should at least be given a full season to show what he can do as well as the players he wants to play his brand of football.

We need to establish some stability within the organization and firing the gaffer after five games will not provide that imo.

No matter how bad the Toon are, they still won't be worse than those Wearside Chimps.

What NUFC needs is a reinstatement of Mel B on BigSoccer.

His single campaign (which lasted less than a year, mind you) provided a total of 7 new Toon fans.

Consider him NUFC's PR man.

....more time and player will make your club the laughing stock of the Premiership.

Look at Spurs. We spent more money than Arsenal, but look at them.

First and foremostly, a good chairman needs to be at a club, then a good manager. The players will follow when the first two are in place.

If Shepherd continues, then I can expect Newcastle to have a rubbish 5-8 years ahead of them, just like Spurs did under the idiot that is Alan Sugar.

Sorry, but I aim to please.

What happened to the owner? His name is Sir John Hall if I remember rightly.

He is the president and still owns about 23% of the club. He's not directly involved with the club he leaves that to his idiot son Douglas Hall.

So who is Shepherd? Why is he chairman of the club?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Freddy Shepherd is a businessman and chairman of Newcastle United Football Club.

He is best known for being caught by tabloid journalists mocking the club's own supporters for spending extortionate amounts of money on merchandise, calling female supporters 'dogs', and mocking star striker Alan Shearer, all while frequenting a brothel.

These acts have caused him to be a rather unpopular figure among the Geordies, who widely refer to him as "Fat Fred", "The Fat One", "Fatty Shepherd" or "The Fat ********".

In a speech at a 2004 Football Association conference Shepherd defended the distribution of profits from the sale of television rights, causing widespread outrage when he stated that that the 'elite clubs' such as Newcastle, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal owed little to the lower leagues.

In his 2005 autobiography Bobby Robson provides detailed criticism of Shepherd's chairmanship claiming that, while manager, he was denied information regarding the player's contracts and transfer negotiations.

Shepherd's brother Bruce is widely believed by many to be the driving force of the family's business success, which includes oil services company Shepherd Offshore and a scrap metal dealer. Bruce is also an NUFC board member. The involvement of this company in Newcastle United's operations has led many to speculate that a conflict of interest is taking place.

The Shepherds' current 28 percent shareholding is divided between Shepherd Offshore and Freddy Shepherd himself. There have been widespread rumours that the family may try to gain full control of the club by purchasing the holding of Sir John Hall and his family

I don't know about the WORST team in the world, but NUFC are definitely one of the most dysfunctional.
