Saha, Fortune and Ole are all out. Giggs is still battling flu, should be ready though.

I'd love to see Rossi and Park on the bench or in the line up for this game.

Brown?
edit: This SHOULD be a fairly easy win for us but you never know. I'm hoping we clean house and get some more fitness in for the season.

I don't expect to see Brown in the lineup until he gets some reserve games.

Hopefully not too tough a test, and I don't think it will be. And I hope that once United are in Europe for certain, MUSCUSA will lengthen their OT trips to include CL matches. I went to a match 2 years ago and would like to go again, but 3 1/2 days is too short a trip for all that money, methinks. Especially as I don't live in the northeast so I have to get myself to NYC before departing.

Can't wait ... we do have to be careful but should win with ease. I just hope we score early and with enough goals that we can pull some of the starters out for Saturday.
I like your starting 11 V-Red ...
Cheers ....
I have a friend who will be in Manchester when this game occurs. Do you think he could get tix? These early Euro games don't usually sell out do they?

Despite Debrecen's impressive performance in the second leg, the games against United will be a significant step up in class. Not that United should take their opponents lightly but I don't expect that there will be many problems. One good thing about this game is that it will likely be an early test for United against a team happy to sit back and defend. It will build confidence to break them down and be a few goals up going into the away leg.

Are we actually posting about a real game that means something. Hot sh!t. I hope we look past no one and bury these guys early. Ruud with two in the first twenty minutes. VDS with a clean sheet. At some point I can't wait to see CRon and Park on the wings and Rooney and RVN up top.

a scrappy 2-0 win with Ruud smashing them in. Hopefully we'll crush them so bad that their skipper wants to hang himself as that other moron.

A number of fans are trying to organise a boycott of this game, especially ST holders as a protest directed towards the Glazers. I don't think it will sell out and earlier this week they were on sale to the general public, you didn't even have to be a OneUnited member.
I just checked the official site and the "splash page" is a big advertisement for tickets for the game, still on general sale. I doubt your friend should have too much trouble in obtaining a ticket despite the fact that they are not intending to open the 3rd tier of the North Stand for this game.
As for the game itself, am I the only person who still rates Giggs as an important part of our best XI? I'll admit that I always show a certain bias to the players that are still at the club from the days when I used to go to every home game and a few aways each season and that I long for the return of the 4-4-2 with Giggs on one flank and A.N. Other on the other so perhaps my judgement isn't quite as objective as it should but nevertheless, I still hope he starts although I doubt very much that he will.

take it easy there man.
mate - did you read what someone from Hajduk said?
Debrecen booked their dream tie with Manchester United after an 8-0 aggregate victory over Hajduk, a result that prompted Hajduk sports director Igor Stimac to declare: "I'm so sad. I'm even thinking about hanging myself. I want to die."

contrary to what one person has already said...the first leg tie will be tightly contested I believe. I just don't think Debrecen will come to make up the numbers. I am really not pleased with this 4-3-3 formation...I feel it takes away from the strengths that we have over teams like Debrecen. Rooney doesn't even like playing the wing and he doesn't really look the part at times. Having him more central would suit him so much better. All formalities aside...i'd say 2-0 to United for the first leg.
