Just downloaded and watched the Spurs highlight video from 94-95 and had a couple of thoughts. I'm a new fan to both the game and Spurs, caught the football bug 3-4 seasons ago, been trying to study up on the history of spurs and english football in general over the off-season.
What and up and down season, with Jurgen, the FA scandal and getting to the semis, changing coaches, brilliant goals, what looks like a dodgy backline (hard to tell from just highlights) and an amazing strike team -- does this happen every season to Spurs?!
I came away from the video feeling pretty positive. Look at all the Prem has beens like Sheffield Wednesday, Coventry, Ipswitch, S'hampton, Wimbeldon, Forest, etc.(as well as an underwhelming Chelsea and Blackburn as powerhouse) and how easily that could have been us going down. Reguardless of our fortunes in the 10 years that have proceeded us since that season, we've managed to stay in the middle of things and get us in a position to have a breakout season this year (fingers crossed).
Finally, i hope we've fired the video editor, horrible -- two and three replays of Liverpool scoring against us and no replays of Jurgens bicycle kick and three or four other amazing goals :(
Come on you Spurs!

Yes, i remember it well. The famous 5 under Ossie, we scored loads of goals and conceded loads too.

I actually watched that video about a 2 weeks ago, i know what you mean about a up and down season. We looked very good at the start of the season, then we had a mid-season slump.
I was disappointed that Dumitrescu got loaned out then sold.

I had a season ticket back then in the Paxton Upper. The Paxton used to sing back then or maybe it was me and my mates  . Malk that game at Sheff Wed was excellent. Then to follow that up with our usual 3 pts against Everton thought we were on for something decent. Shame that season also saw us slump away at Notts County, probably the worst in person performance I have seen Tottenham play. Shame really as we had the whole of an end.
Also went to both scouse clubs in the league that season, and the joyous cup game at Anfield, and unfortuantely the dubacle of the 1-4 v Everton in the semi at Elland Rd, horrible :(.
Kept the season ticket the next year, those were the days.

94/95 is Spurs best Premiership season and we only finished seventh!
I was probably the last season where we were a flair team and the more glamourous London club. Since then, it's Arsenal and Chelsea who have attracted the top players. :)

It was an amazing season, the opening day was just superb with Jurgen doing his trademark dive.
The run we went on with Gerry Francis was brilliant, I think we went 2nd on boxing day but then it fell apart a little.
Great days.

My first match at the Lane was that Spring, Spurs 1-0 over Leicester, Klinsmann hitting the winner with about ten minutes to go. Shame it all fell apart against Everton in the FA Cup semis (lousy Stu Nethercott!), we might have ahd a shot against Man U in the final. It is a bit depressing that's the best we've placed in the Premiership.

Klinsmann was only at Tottenham for a total of 1 and half seasons, it is amazing how quickly he became a legend.

Although this is the 94/95 season thread. The reason he is a legend in my eyes was him single handedly tearing Wimbledon apart at Selhurst Park in 98. A result which assured us of staying in the top flight. I don't think, baring the FA cup win, there has been a happier day in my Spurs supporting life. Sad but true. :o
I still love the way he still talks affectionately about Spurs, even though, as you said Stu, he was here in totality for only 18 months or so.
