Javed Nekounam
Twenty-four-year-old Javed Nekounam appears to have come of age. His four goals in three matches were vital in helping Iranian powerhouse Pas book a place in the quarter-finals. A brace against Qatar's Al Rayyan in their final 2-1 win typified his swashbuckling style so adored by the Tehran locals. An individual effort put Pas ahead and after Frank de Boer had equalised, Nekounam was ice cool in the burning heat as he converted an injury time spot kick for victory.

Already a key member of Iran's national team, Nekounam, whose fine skills allow him to play as either a solid defender or in a more attacking role, looks sure to play a key role not only in Pas' quest for Champions League glory but Iran's attempt for a berth at the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™.

Kairslautern fans should now that Javad Nekonam is hell of a midfielder ;) aswell as he recently have rejected offers from tottenham aswell as Besiktas and have now joined Kairslautern

and hopefully the Iranian duo can give alot to the club and hopefully even qualify for a europen cup
