Will any of them join Manchester United...
Who would you like to see us get if we could only obtain one...
Me I think we might get Owen..
But if I had my druthers I would love Ballack...
He is what we need at the midfield position...

Mikel for me, long term D-mid replacement would be scrumptious right about now!

From what I saw/heard from the U-20 World Cup he was a very talented and very defensive midfielder with a very good ability to go forward and attack and great creativity.

My dream addition to the squad would be Michael Essien
but Lyon's asking price is obscene...

Hm . . .
Owen could help us now. A team of Van Der Sar; Neville, Rio, Silvestre, Heinze; Keane; Ronaldo, Rooney, Giggs/Scholes/Park; with Van Nistelrooy and Owen up front is tempting.
A bench of Scholes, Ole, Saha, Smith, Park leaves many, many attacking options, not to mention Pique in defense and Rossi as another striker/free mid.
That's the problem, though. If Solskjaer is healthy, we'd have 6 strikers including Owen. 6 strikers all competing for World Cup national spots (depending on Ole and Norway). You could call it good competition, but what it would do to chemistry on the pitch could be negative. Owen would not want to come off the bench, and having Rooney playing that free-role could make it harder for him to adapt to the English squad, where he might have to play a set-striker (doubt it, but maybe)
Ballack is good for the near future, but Ballack's ego makes it so that Fergie can't have him off the bench. He is a brilliant midfielder, proven to be world class, and as much as I would like him, it might not work out. But Van Der Sar; Neville, Rio, Silvestre, Heinze; with Ballack, Keane, and Scholes supporting; Ronaldo, Rooney in the free roles (which SAF is opting for in the preseason?); and Van Nistelrooy upfront is really, really, lethal.
Just my random rant, excuse any errors along the way. ;)

I for one hope he never plays here. If he is willing to hold his breath until he gets his way then he belongs at Chelsea ... he will fit in fine. What an arssss!!

Chelsea are the only team I wish to play for. I have heard the Lyon president saying other clubs from the English Premiership are interested in signing me, including Arsenal and Manchester United, but I have no desire to play for anyone else other than Chelsea.
Good god. Didn't he say just two months ago "my dream is to play for United"? Let chelski have him. He'd only demand a transfer away from OT if MU didn't win the prem.... and he'll come begging again by next may ;) :D
