So, I am grabbing a burger at a sidewalk tavern yesterday (Cullen's - you know the joint, right Bluto?) and Karen says to me...
"Hey that little boy has an Arsenal shirt on!"
So I turn around and here's a kid maybe 18 months old with the entire redcurrant kit. I give him a mini hi-five and say. 'Rough game today, huh little dude. That stinkin' Drogba.'
He just looked at me with a smile.
lol
Good to be a Gooner!

Not yet, I'm out for 2 more weeks. I am soooo ready to go back, though. Stuck at home with the kids is awful! During the school year, we are all gone during most of the day, but during times like this when we are all home so much, all I do is rake up toys and wash clothes and dishes in between bouts on the internet. It's terrible.
On top of that, every year our lovely little town waits until the hottest week of the year, goes out to the dusty dirty fair park, and invites several thousand more to join them. :) Our Watermelon Festival means that our narrow two lane roads will be jam packed with rv's etc. for the next week. My friend's band is playing Thursday though and it will be the first time I've been out since God was a boy so that's good.
I'm ready for fall! And our London trip! I'm pretty sure I'm going to go to Ireland (down south county cork) during the week when everyone splits up. I'm still tempted with Scotland though. Especially since I watched Harry Potter and saw the train and bridge that you go over if you take the train from Ft. William. But hell, I'm Scotch-Irish so I'm sure some Irish blood got mixed in there during their layover in Leprechan country, so I guess I can justify both. :)

Yeah that reminds me of the kid that sat behind me at the Chicago Fire game. He couldn't have been more than 7 or so and spent the entire game pointing out all the things wrong with Arsenal and everything that is right with ManUre. I figured you have to work pretty hard to come up with an argument like that. I swear the first thing he said to me was "Arsenal Sucks". It was so funny hearing this out of a little boy.

why the ******** does my story about a cute little kid (and one who has the good taste to be an Arse supporter) remind you of that?

Yikes! As much as it pains me to have to work everyday, I could not be a stay at home mom! I don't have the patience for it..........at least school started here last week! ;)

It's good. I really love it here, though it would be nice to find a job. I've got some freelance stuff lined up, and hopefully a one-week gig in Den Haag next week. Other than that, just enjoying the start of football season and chilling (which I need!).

Oh yeah, I did go and I did take some photos. Let me get my camera hooked up and I'll post 'em. I forgot all about them, to be honest, and I didn't get that many because my battery died.
