Damn, the place we were looking at Paddington Hyde Park didn't get such great reviews. :(
Yeah but that's the reality of all hotels in london...
You have to pay twice as much for the same quality of hotel that you'd find anywhere else in the world.

I don't really care too much about the room, but most of the reviews go on about really thin walls and tiny bathrooms. We'll see. I checked and if needed, there is no penalty for cancelations at least 24 hrs in advance.
Don't need thin walls on an anniversary trip that is for sure! :p :D :o

Like the cancellation policy-but truthfully-it looked like a cool place and is close to where we wanted to be......

Shakespeare's Globe is cool. Sherlock holmes museum is as well...pricey at 6-7 lbs. but good nonetheless.

I really like that site too. I use that for a lot of my trips not only for hotel tips, but also for tips on getting around, what to bring, tourist attractions, etc.

What is the new button up near the thread pathway that has "XML RSS" in it? I don't know what it is and don't want to click it!

Not to get into an arguement over semantics, but this is the city so nice they had to name it twice:

You can use XML RSS to subscribe to threads/blogs/webpages etc, for use in services such as "My Yahoo!" for example.
