It's Thursday. We've been promised (twice now) that Wenger would make a decision on them by Wed.

Something is fishy here. Is he waiting for something else to shake out within the club? A move by Pires? Sol? Is he trying to bring in someone else and won't sign them until that is setlled?

I don't think any other transfers would affect these deals.

Sol does not look like a player that is trying to make a move (picture from training today)

I don't believe that you wrote that. I think Teso was made into a super-Mod and can edit your posts without leaving a trace.

I agree. As I said from Austria, I was told by Song that he had signed a four year deal. Now I think that Arsenal know if they only announce this signing, then the fans will not be happy. So they are trying to announce it on the back of another bigger signing. First Baptists which fell through, and now through someone else. Thats my opinion anyway....... I am positive though that before the window is gone, Song will be announced on a four year deal.

No idea, from the games and the training session I wasn't and nor were the other people there impressed with him. But we arn't Arsene so who knows. I was excited when he came for trial, but thought Song was far better. Im not sure that Christanval can do better than the players we have at the moment.

What position is Song anyway? Has any1 seen him play? If so, what do you think of him?

Midfielder. I have seen him play a few times now plus watching him in training. I think he is really good for his age. He is confident and able on the ball. He can pass, tackle and defend well. I really think he could be a great player for the future.

Unfortunately I think that describes most of the squad now. I'm selfish and want a great player for the present to come in.

CM----I thought like many others here, he is pretty good considering his age. I think it would be worth it to try and develop him. He had pretty good composure and sprayed the ball around pretty well. He didn't look to have the greatest pace. but I think he has potential (imho) He has some poise in the midfield. I don;t think he is anywhere close to Cesc. Havn't watched but a few matches of his (SOng) so it's hard for me to give a definitive answer, but from what I saw he has some things to work on but has a good upside. but my opinion is worthless.

(antifan---i like those tops too)

The two clubs have also agreed a fee of £2.75m if Arsenal decide to sign him on a permanent basis next summer.

Song, who is the nephew of former Liverpool player Rigobert Song, made 34 appearances last season after signing his first professional deal.

The Cameroon-born 19-year-old, who can also play in midfield, impressed manager Arsene Wenger during Arsenal's pre-season training camp in Austria.

Song had been linked with Manchester United, Chelsea and Inter Milan

Perhaps a back up for Gilberto?
