Hey, isn't the first game of the season coming up in a few days? Oh yeah, it is! Time to collect that second trophy. :p

should be a good one. Arsenal v Chelsea are never slugfests and both teams don't kick each other out of the park. I'm expecting an entertaining match. no predicitions out of me though

I'm glad FSC is showing the game. Just sucks that it's @ 7a.m.

It is a real pity I will only be able to watch this on ESPN. I hate the ESPN broadcast, but it is better than nothing I suppose.

I am really looking forward to seeing Crespo is action. And hopefully Lampard can hit some form before the season proper.

Which of our players are not available to play - i.e. through injury? I know Campbell and Reyes aren't available for the Arse.

When are you going to move to the East Coast :D

We'll nick it, 1-0.

Sure, kick me while i'm down. ;)
Well, honestly, i like Bay Area a lot, but if a carreer opportunity required me to move, I would probably do it. The flights to London are so much cheaper from NY then from SF. I'm still planning a trip to London for my b-day and catch Chelsea vs. Newcastle on Nov.19th. Hopefull it'll work out.

P.S. Thanks for the website.

My FIFA 2005-run prediction: 6-5 for the blues. LOL.

Mak is definitely back. Gallas has supposedly been training with the team, so he may be fit. Looks unlikely that Robben or Bridge will be fit, though.

Ahh, good, didn't check for myself.

Although, honestly, its the freaking Community Shield. I'd rather win, but I don't really care. I just want him to be fit for Wigan and the other 38 EPL games.

Totally agree. Really hoping that track record continues. Should be an open game. I'm hoping Cesc and Gilberto get some time. We haven't seen much of them thus far.

Didn't always be that way though ;)

I dunno. I think that I'd go with Duff and SWP for most of the games against Wigan, Blackburn, Sunderland etc. and save Robben's limited playing time (what is it 30 games a season?) for the CL games and the big league games against Asre and Pool and Man Yoo

Maybe Duff and SWP week in week out and Robben used sparingly?

How you think Robben would feel about that? I mean, why can't the lad just start doing leg presses, squats, lunges, and stretch really well before and after he puts on those boots? I want him to play as much as possible.

The lads only 21 and he already spends way too much time on the treatment table. It seems to me that he is a 30 games a year player. It appears that the squats, presses, lunges and stretches are not working for our young Arjen and they wouldn’t save him from the likes of Robbie Savage anyways. So I’d rather have him if we were facing Barca rather than <st1 ="">Blackburn</st1>. Do you remember that grim game that ended his season?

As to how he would feel about it? He must know he's a bit of wuss?

Yep, those fcukfaces in Blackburn. I really did wish Terry would have punched Dickov, going after Cech like that. We need to have an enforcer, like in hockey, who if anything happens, would just play Bruce Lee a la Cantona and whoop some @sses.

O yeah, he's a wuss big time, although our other winger whines a bit more.

btw, did he grow some hair this season? He should advertise Hairclub for Men in Europe. He's be like Beckham....well, almost. :D
