Wolfsburg defender Pablo Thiam claims the side are pumped and ready to repeat last year’s feat of a season opening victory over Borussia Dortmund, this time at home.
Wolfsburg defender Pablo Thiam claims the side are pumped and ready to repeat last year’s feat of a season opening victory over Borussia Dortmund, this time at home.
“The Bundesliga is our bread and butter,” he told the club website. “The tingles being felt by the players are hard to describe.”
“Every club has strengthened their squads, and I think that every single player is looking forward to the start.”
“We will try to put hem under pressure from the start, and show them who is boss,” asserted Thiam. “We plan to make sure that they don’t play their first good game of the new season against us.”

Sorry Thiam, not this year, my prediction for the game will be a 3-1 win for BVB anybody second that?

If they play like yesterday where they were destroyed by RC Lens, we don't have to panic anyhow. :-)

That sounds more like this BVB team, but it won't take them 85 minutes to blow it.
Let's hope they surprise us. But only being able to put one goal past the mighty Sigma Olomouc and losing a 45 minute match to FC Magdeburg has my confidence in the toilet........ :(

dont need 4 goals to win... all it take is one with Weidenfeller in the goal, or maybe 2 if the ref calls a PK :)

It's called "realism". Pessimism is "knowing" we're going to lose. I just "think" the chances of us losing are more realistic than those of us winning.
Check my picks. I still picked BVB 2-1.
But again, if there was money to win or lose, I'd bet Wolfsburg by the same score.........
That's "realism". My heart (And you know I still have problems with it) can't take my looking through Schwarz-Gelb glasses all the time. The disappointment has come too early and too often the past three seasons. :(

That's exactly what I'm doing!!
Maybe I'm drunk or something, but I could have sworn I said I still took BVB to win 2-1???
I just wouldn't bet money on it.

From the official BVB site. These lineups aren't set in stone though.......

2-2 final score. *sigh*
Puts even more pressure on next week's derby, if any more was necessary.

Both teams blew chances. But isn't that always the way with us?? Blown chances??
Seeing that I expected to lose, I'll take the point......
