Part 3 of 6 part series...for some clarity, I put them both in same category, next part of series will be wingers/offensive midfielders. Also, so that we won't have a Marcelinho/Ballack show next round, I'll put Ballack here as a center mf, while Marcelinho will be in part 4
Happy voting!

In performance ascpects Ballack and Ernst,
but Ernst is a traitor and plays for the center of all tw*ts.
So i choose Soldo.

Ballack belongs in the offensive midfielders category.
However, I do not like his attitude, that´s why I would not vote for him anyway.
Watch out for Hanno Balitsch. He could become one of the best holding midfielders this season...
...You will find him amongst the "others" ;)

Oh wow...Hanno Balitsch...thats a name that I've forgotten over the years. I forgot that he has a German cap!! Wow, that was quite some time ago, 2-3 years ago? No way he's close to top 10, how can you put Balitsch in there, unless it's a joke vote (plz no joke votes, I want everyone to be SERIOUS here lol), even Hannover fans aren't too optimistic about him.

I combined them into offensive/wing mfs. I didn't want to make too many polls.

Borowski disappointed me lately... hopefully he returns to be good.

I was expecting Borowski to be an international regular about 2 years ago. But he has regressed since then. I think he has a very outside chance of making WC2006 squad, and if Engelhardt does well again this year, Borowski has no chance. He needs a very good BL and CL campaign, and from the last few years, I think he's peaked and I don't think he'll do too well.

It's interesting how perceptions can differ. Borowski would seem more like an offensive midfielder to me. He played in front of the defensive midfielder at Bremen, after all. I also thought that Borowski had his best season in the last year. He greatly improved and matured in the last season, becoming an important part of Bremen's midfield and scoring more often than ever before.
Engelhardt, on the other hand, showed some promise in the first half of the seaon but played very weak in the second half, thereby raising very serious questions about his class and potential.
I think both will struggle to make the WC squad. Borowski will have a hard time displacing either Deisler or Schneider. Engelhardt would seem to need a small miracle because I don't see him anywhere near the class of Ernst, Frings, Kehl and Hamann.
