Surprised no- one has bothered starting a thread for this one. Anyone with any feeds? Not expecting much considering its only an "XI" game.
Team is from
# Mark Howard
# Michael Jordan
# Justin Hoyte
# Johan Djourou
# Matthew Connelly
# Gael Clichy
# Sebastian Larsson
# Quincy Owusu-Abeyie
# Cesc Fabregas
# Robin van Persie
# Arturo Lupoli
# David Bentley
# Fabrice Muamba
# Patrick Cregg
# Emmanuel Eboue
# Nicklas Bendtner
Thought there would be more enthusiasm since its RvP's first run out and a presason look on Quincy to see if he is gonna make an impact this term. Also anyone have more info on Nicklas Bendtner. Have heard his name crop up in the reserves a lot and seems his scoring is excellent for his age.

I'm excited that RVP is getting his first run out.. as well as Cesc.
Unfortunately there's no radio or video coverage for this match.

Arsene decided we needed a little height in the midfield. ;)

Yeah Jordan in his prime could have been a great goalie - height, quickness, reach and great hands. Of course a bit of a waste, but....

I've gotta say, I love the the ASEC Mimosas North...I mean KSK Beveren system. They have brought a lot of sick talent into Europe. Watch Romaric with Le Mans this year- Le Mans have talked about how they have some sort of arrangement with Arsenal and if there's any truth in that Romaric could be the next Ivorian to take the trip to London Colney. He's supposed to have among the hardest shots in Europe, although his accuracy leaves something to be desired.

Good to hear Van Persie among the goals and looking sharp. And he could have had a hat-trick, but for an offside decision.

It was a good match, about 600 fans there in total. At one point when the players came out to 20 fans, we thought the announcer was going to say "And for the benifit of the players the names of the fans are....."!! Very crazy going in, we had to provide proof of ID, i.e. a passport or driving licence that they took all our details from. Very Big brother considering the size of the game. It was quite lively, better than last years 0-0!! Their number 7 was super. Van Persie to be honest didn't look very match fit, he took the goals well but wasn't on form. Bently looked like a lost dog, everything he tried seemed to go wrong, he looked very unhappy as he left the stadium. Cesc however, well he looked fantastic. It seemed that he had an extra 20 seconds over everyone else when he had the ball. He passed it really well and got stuck in. He lost his temper with the ref once and got carded, but he showed he isn't as lightweight as some think.
Our keeper, Howard, looked good as well apart from one glaring mis-communication which led to the first goal. Clichy looked on form too. Overall not a bad game to watch.

Any idea what happened to Marco Ne, in the winter he was tabbed as Arsenal's next signing from Beveren, now he's fallen off the radar.

I was trying to ask the same question last night. I was told he "could" be injured, but got no other info. Annoying actually as I thought he was a good player......

Thanks for the match info Rick. I was wondering about Van Persie! I am sure that footie is not the only thing on his mind right now (unfortunately! :( ) I can't imagine that the Van Persie household is really happy right now........
As for Cesc-good to know that he seems to be progressing and is still impressing. Clichey too! I hate that about Bentley.......

1st game with a new team in a new league (how was thierry in the same situation). Also, he was playing against Lyon, who considerably better than his squad top to bottom. I'm just saying that fair evalutaion can't really be made.
