Keny Arkana
and of course the wonderful and weird Christophe Willem
French music did not stop with Edith Piaf, American music did stop after Motown died.

I somehow fail to imagine how anyone can recommend Keny Arkana and simultaneously cite any of those other names, but to each his own...
you should also scroll back a few pages and you'll see that there's quite a generational diversity of music

I once heard that there were actually people buying some Lara Fabian and NTM records at the same time at Virgin and FNAC...
But being eclectic is a quality after all. ;)

This was my first ever experience with French music. One of my friends couldn't get enough of Alizee:

Ahhhh Alizee....
Actually her Moi Lolita is very very catchy, so is her remake of an old France Gall tune...
Alizee - two thumbs up! :p

As long as we are talking about Alizee, she has a new album out. Some may look down on cheesy French bubblegum pop, but hey, French-speaking women are one of my biggest weaknesses, so I'll be adding the album to my French-hotties music collection :D.

Three (3) thumbs up for Alizee :D
I think she will try now for a new "bad girl" persona; she has said that before.
What can I say, worked just great for Britney Spears
Edit: I hate the new song Mademoiselle Juliette ... meh

All of Superbus' songs are great. Seriously I haven't found one I don't like yet.
And Jennifer Ayache has to be the most beautiful girl in the world.
