Are you sure that this show is French ?
The show is called "la nouvelle star" in France instead of Idol.
Anyway, I don't know if there are many people interested in this kind of music on this board but NTM is back :

To put this in perspective, Les Guignols TV show did that after Bush refused to sign the Kyoto protocol, of course.

Our candidate for this year's Eurovision song contest is...not another Quebec female singer but :

Not to quibble about details, but the US had already signed the Kyoto protocol when Klinton was in office so it makes no sense for Bush to "refuse" to sign something that was already signed by the previous administration. The problem is that the treaty has to be ratified by a two-thirds majority of the Senate. After signing the treaty, President Klinton did not submit the treaty to the Senate for ratification since he knew that it would fail (the Senate had previously passed a resolution 95-0 instructing the Klinton administration to refuse to sign any treaty that does not include all countries of the world). Since the Klinton administration did not think the treaty was all that important to submit for ratification, why should President Bush take it upon himself to submit a treaty for ratification that the previous president wasn't all that serious about? Maybe the world should blame Klinton for the US failing to be apart of the Kyoto Protocol, not Bush.

One of the main reasons for us not signing the treaty, along with it being bad for our economy, was the fact that India and China were to be excluded from it.

Well cutting off our supply doesn't mean "evolving" either.

We don't get to hear the French anthem that often during podium celebrations in Formula One...Though, there is one particular piece of French genius that's still so refreshing (you'll understand) and that is aired at every Grand Prix...
It's the Carmen Overture that you can hear every time they shake those Champagne Jeroboams on each other. What a waste ! Fortunately, a champion of the caliber of Kimi Räikkönen took the right decision. Just drink it !
So, in full contrast with my last post. Enjoy !
