In the next few days, I'm going to be posting on who is the best in their positions. I'm going to discount goalies for now unless you want me to put goalies, I think I started a thread about this some time ago, if you want me to put it down I will. I'm going to compile basically an all Bundesliga team right now and I will like you, the Bundesliga fan, to put down right now who is your favorite wing back.

Thanks and I will post results later.

I will start with wing backs...who are the best TWO wingbacks (if you want to put 2 right backs or 2 left backs in no problem...most of them can do both anyways, like Lahm :D )

I made it public as well...I think everyone would be a bit interested in what others put down (so long as we don't slam each other, but this is German forums, the forum with class ;) ). Please only 2...

And if you put down other...please state the player who is "other".

Looking forward to some good debate...happy voting! :)

Oh yea, I voted for Friedrich and Sagnol

I put Arne Friedrich and Patrick Owomoyela. Petri plays IV though.

Friedrich impressed me most in the confed cup but Owo had a great saison with Bielefeld.

I thought Petri was only a RB...in Championship Manager he was anyways. :D

Uhm - I'll try this:

Right Back is the traditional #2 - rechte Verteidigung
Left Back is the tradtitional # 3 - linke Verteidigung
Center Backs are the #4 and #5 - Innenverteidigung

Isn´t Stranzl central defender?
Hinkel plays right-back and Magnin left back at Stuttgart,
Stranzl and Babbel are the central defenders.

Anyways, i voted Sagnol and Friedrich.

Normally Lahm instead of Friedrich, but he is injured.

I accidentally only voted for one - Arne Friedrich. Dede would have been my second choice.

And for the record, Stranzl isn't a wingback.

Thanks...always thought he was for some reason

No love for Dede...he would be pick #3 if I overpicked.

Hmmh.
The "other" player must be Steven Cherundolo?!
Right Back @ Hannover 96. Well known in the U. S., isn´t he?

I will continue with my Bayern boys Lahm and Sagnol. :D

I think both Friedrich and Sagnol are at the top of their game......if Lahm can repeat his past performance he will take over, no doubt about it.

And Liza, in his prime was one of the best fulbacks in the world.

I agree...I think both Sagnol and Friedrich are close to world class wing backs

Lahm is pretty much guaranteed to be LB at WC...this year's confed cup showed a lot of vulnerabilties at LB...personally I think Fathi should have been called up instead of Schulz, he played every minute for Hertha and would be a good deputy for Lahm in the future.

I don't think Lahm is "guaranteed" anything. He has to come back from this injury first.

You are quick to assume players will be the same after major injury.

He is with Bayern now , Keith, Höhness just has to send some money to DFB and Lahm get as "good" as he was before :)

but as I said before Lahm can be happy to be next to Dede cause Dede will kick his sorry bavarian a.s.s.
