I think he's got a year or two left on his current deal at Madrid. I've heard he wants an extension, so it may be safe to say he'll be there for the next 2-4 years. After that, possibly a stint in the MLS?

He will definitely be there for next year's WC, but after that who knows? I can see him sticking around for the next Euro tournament, but probably not the next WC.

For me personally it will be a sad day when he is no longer available for selection. I have grown accustomed to having Becks in the team this past decade .He always give 110% in every game no question.
Some guys arent missed when they retire but becks will be hugely missed.

Criminally underrated by gobshites who can't form their own opinions and just follow the he is overrated nonsense. The fact that most of our play has gone through Beckham since he has been an England regular, will hurt us when he retires. I think we need to ween our selves of him personally, but he should still play in the big games.

This is just an outsiders view of the current situation, but I believe Beckham should follow Owen out of Madrid, and tell the Galacticos to kiss his ass on the way out for the way his teammate was treated. I think it is potentially a good opportunity for Becks to stand up for a friend and teammate, and really make a statement as a captain that could help rally your boys together for the final run of qualifying.

As the captain of the national team, I think Becks needs to be back in England now that we're entering the final stretch and Owen's poor treatment gives him a cast iron excuse to tell Madrid to shove it (something a lot of us would love to do I'm sure) and back up one of his main men at the same time.

Anyway, sorry if this doesn't fit but even I (a US citizen/supporter) have been pissed off at the way Owen was treated, and would like to see Becks stand up for him and follow him out back to England.
