I know it's not nice, but I'm predicting a terrible season for The O.C. I just don't think they have the right formula anymore, and they've taken the whole "we don't take ourselves seriously" thing a little too far.
My wife watches it religiously so hopefully I'm far off the mark, but I'm just saying... this could be its final season if things don't shape up.

I agree, I don't think they ever got killer ratings. Plus there are a lot of crappy storylines carrying over from last season. The Trey shooting, Kirsten in rehab, Caleb's death. Yuck. Crappy ass carryover storylines.
The only bright spot is that Caleb's death = more Julie Cooper as the bad apple. But I really don't care about the stupid Trey shooting and the subsequent investigation. The only bright spot might be that it gets Seth in some serious legal trouble and the Cohens reconsider the whole boy from Chino in the poolhouse bit. Kirsten in rehab works for me if you bring in 7 of 9 for a little female bonding. Maybe they can go to a European sex club or something?

Yeah, Thursday is a very hard night to compete in if you're not CBS or NBC (no so much NBC any more though).

Uh oh...it's starting this thursday! Hopefully it'll get good ratings this time around. (woohoo i jinxed it!)
Spoilerfix has a ton of spoilers up.
That said this is going to be a great season. The reason, they are expanding the character list. Last season had a bunch of characters leave the show midseason because of real life personality conflicts. That is why in large part so much time was devoted to the Summer/Seth/Evil Zach love triangle. That triangle was a complete and total disaster.
I'm looking forward to it.

Adam Brody was on Kimmel last night and revealed that Trey was only shot in the penis.

That's a bit disapointing, but I can deal with it. You need to suspend dibelief in nearly every episode for some reason.
Is anyone else intrigued by Reunion which is scheduled afterwards?

I agree 100%, first season was great, second season was not so great but good and the third season is starting off even worse. I hope it gets better... and quick.
