Yeah the beaches are topless, but i think all the creepy guys lurking with video cameras scare off the best honeys. You don't get that problem at the Shore Club's pool. Yeah, now that you mention it Tantra is expensive, but then again everything down there is. Maybe some places have cheap drink nights in the summer?
The dudes walkin around w/ the cameras is a bit much. Most locals went out to the beaches a bit further up around 14th street. We used to go near the gay section at 13th street and that kept most of the pervs away.
I tried to avoid the $15 drinks at Tantra, though the real grass floor was cool.
Cheap drinks:
Monty's on Friday night. Half priced drinks till 8. Good raw bar and plenty to look at. Also get a Pain Killer, but go for level #2, #1 is weak and too many #3's will end the night early!
Playwright has 2-for-1 till 7 during the week. It is a good deal as the pints are $5.
Many of the clubs have free drinks from 10 till 12, so though it isn't 'cool' to be out early, it is a cheap way to tie one on!!
Also, Lost Weekend usually has some type of special. Wednesday is ladies night and it gets pretty good there.

South Beach? My favorite spots are Skybar, Mynt, and Tantra. But if you want to actually hook up, the Clevelander is the place to go, its all tourists. Rumi and Touch are great places for dinner and drinks. News Cafe is a great place for 4am meals. My tip, to find out whats going on in town go to the Shore Club during the day, act like your a guest and get the concierge's recommendations. While you're there go out to the pool for a drink, its topless! :)
my sunday morning's gonna be...footie, club space for sunrise, and nikki beach for...decompression. hahahahaha...then the airport for corpse transport.

I'm not so sure, i read the link from the story and their was some eyewitness accounts. But hey, All the cool kids pee in their pants! :D

BTW Ryan, got the cd's today. THANKS BUNCHES!!! I just walked in long enough to walk back out, but I can't wait to listen. Also, have not burned yours yet, but I will.

Just got back from the beach, caught a few nice waves on my Boogie(tm) board, then kicked back in my beach chair and chilled for a while. So relaxing. Highlight was when i was paddling out and huge seal swam right by me. Great day.
