Hey GP, public props to you for the Harper disc. Stellar stuff.
Funny story...my girlfriend saw me retrieve it from the mailbox. She said, 'what's that?'
Matt: One of my 'internet friends' sent me some music we'd talked about.
Karen:  That probably means I will think it sucks.
fast fwd to half hour later.
Matt: Hey honey, does this music suck?
Karen: Surprisingly, no. I really like it. Sounds kinda like 90s Bob Marley.

LOL!! Great story Matt. Literally made me laugh out loud - which I guess I needed just then. May be time to pop in the Family Guy discs...

Then when the song 'burn one down' started playing she looked at me and said:
'You smoke pot, Focker?'

Ok now that just sucks-you have to see that the matches are on but you can't watch them? :(
Well yeah, I was checking the time for Sunday's match. My dad gets the channel so I may impose on them, but they go out of town a lot so you never know if someone will be there or not.

Thanks, it's just weird, because I was really surprised (although I guess I shouldn't have been) by the amount of emotion I felt when I walked into her parents' dining room. Prior to that, I felt like I had a pretty good grip on things; then last night, it all came rushing back. :(
Trust me, after you fall for someone new, you'll be able to be friends with your ex again. It might take a few years, but its been known to happen. I'm still good friends with my ex girlfriend from college, but it took a while. As soon as i fell for another girl and stopped caring, then i could hang out and listen to her discuss her new failed relationships and not feel bad at all. :)

Where's Riz been lately? Is she avoiding us until the next 2 chelski matches are over?

I also found this show this season after Curb Your Enthusiasm kept having the same epidsodes over and over again. Glad I found it! Love it and try not to miss it now! :D
it's a portrait of my everyday life. Sans hot women, fancy cars, mansions, and acting jobs.

I may have to change my perception of Cam if I know he hates my boy Larry....

Aw come on. I'm a good guy! ;)
Just one of those guys that gets under your skin. Nothing I can do about it.

Oh, I'm definitely psyched about the new girl, and now, suddenly don't feel guilty about that anymore. Although this is probably a negative for most of you, but this new girl is a Yankee fan, which is an absolute plus with me! In fact, she suggested that for our date on Friday, we find some bar where the game is being shown. If things go well, I'll ask her to come to the Dark Horse to watch the Arsenal on Sunday.
Sounds great, but I don't know if I'd introduce her to the Arsenal just yet. Best to work into it. ;) :D

dude, if she really said that, then you have got yourself a winner....nothing like a woman who can place movie quotes...as well as a line like that!
and I am glad you liked the disc; thank you for the props. :)

If it wasn't the first date after a long-term relationship, I'd agree! :D

Nah, you can't put that much into it. If you go in scared, trying to be on your best behavior, the girl will pick up on it. Girls can smell desparation, like dogsh!t. Never treat a date like a date, treat them like a new friend and you can't go wrong. Gotta save the romantic crap for later. Just my personal style.

I absolutely agree on this point. This is one of things I do remember from my previous life.

Another thing, absolutely no mention of the ex while out with your date. If she brings it up, answer and move on quickly, but don't use it as an opportunity to bitch about your hurt feelings. I'm sure you know this already, but its an important point and worth mentioning.

Absolutely know that one. Although, it's funny you mention that because my ex and I broke that rule on our first date, and that kinda made me like her more.

This is the policy to go by...unfortunately watching GP implement it is another story....it's kind of like when kids put wood shapes into holes. I know square goes into square but, for some effing reason, I always try to shove it in triangle (best behavior, gentlemanly, chivalrous-immediate peril...)
