In Matt's favourite competition Liverpool will play either Sydney FC (Australia) or Costa Rica's Deportivo Saprissa in December's Fifa Club World Championship following Saturday's draw in Tokyo. This will be the semi final. Sao Paulo (Brazil) are in the other semi. Opponent for them is not known yet.

Australia is still a colony in a lot of ways so playing against the motherland will be like the Ashes," said Sydney boss Andy Harper.

How true....

I'd put money on us playing the Costa Rican side, they're pretty good.

They took the game to Pumas at their own stadium, which is saying something considering how freaking hard it is to play there.

I'd be shocked if we didn't. I predicted as much in an earlier thread. Ask Usscouse

If we play the Aussies do you think HK might miraculosly become fit for the game?

I seem to be missing something here Harry Kewell and Boro?

I seem to be missing something here Harry Kewell and Boro?Sorry if there was any confusion. To clear it up, feel free to substitute the word "Boro" for any other team that could conceivably get him off our damn wage roll. Say, for example, Shimizu S-Pulse. Or FC Somewhere-the-hell-other-than-Liverpool.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to SuperElf again.

Why would he do that when he can sit on the bench at Pool and get paid for doing F all. :) he has to be prononced fit to be transfered.
