I want to share a website I've created, which I've put a lot of time and effort into for some time now. It contains a map of England along with zoomed-in maps of larger cities and/or areas of England with more than one football club. The maps are HUGE and the site takes a bit of time to load even on broadband, but I think it's well worth it for passioniate football fans. I had wanted to find such a thing a while back, but unfortunately could not find it anywhere on the Internet. So I created it. It shows all Premiership, Coca Cola Football League, and Nationwide Football Conference teams, so there are quite a few teams shown. Each team's stadium is marked with a little soccer ball on the maps. Please let me know what you think, and let others know about it. I really want to promote the site and share it with others. Thanks much. The site is http://footballclubs.dyndns.org/

That is a really nice map, great work, sending to a couple friends, you got something viral on your hands my friend. Woulda been a big help to me when I first started getting into english football and was often at a loss as to where the clubs were actually located -- everton isn't any map I've ever seen, as one example

having looked at it more and learned more (I had no idea where Tranmere Rovers where located until tonight) it looks like Reading is a bit off, isn't it to the southwest of London -- still learning my english geography so...

That's a great site you have, I was once looking for a map like that of the EPL but only found the top clubs. I know some of my friends/acquantances will love viewing/studying this map.

I've been looking for something like this forever. Excellent job on the layout, especially the city maps. How did you put it together?

Wow, thanks for all of the really kind words. See.....ManU fans and Arsenal fans CAN get along! Heehee. Hey, I may be a gooner, but I respect the heck out of all you guys. We football fans need to stick together.

eneste, let me just say that if I wasn't so passionate about English football, putting the site together would have been torturous. But while it took a LOT of time and effort, it was actually a lot of fun to work on. Now I know where some of these clubs are. And how can London have no many dern teams?! Too funny. I have 3 major passions in life: 1) football, 2) web design, and 3) geography. Wow, what a way to satisfy my passions! The site allowed me to tap into all 3.

I have come to the realization that keeping my stadium map site alive and up-to-date is going to be a lot of work. Sure, it took a tremendous effort to to initially get the site off the ground, but it's also going to take a lot of effort to keep all of the club info up-to-date. After spending all of the time I did on it, it'd be a terrible shame if it went to waste. I won't be able to keep the site running entirely on my own. I will need some key people to help me maintain and promote it. I need a few serious, passionate footballers. If you know of any who may be interested in helping keep the site alive, please let me know. Thanks!

moolah moolah, sure why not? But honestly, I truly didn't go into this thinking about making the site commercial. Maybe way down the road, but I'm totally focusing on sharing this with other football fans. I'm a giver.

Okay, all. I've added some major enhancements to my http://footballclubs.dyndns.org/footballclubs/ site. For one, I dropped the "noisy" main England in favor of an even larger map which is easier on the eyes. Also, if you narrow down which clubs are shown by choosing a league in the upper-left corner dropdown menu, the crests for the clubs which reside in the cities/areas with multiple clubs will be shown next to the "multi club" soccer balls. I've got a couple more enhancements coming, so please check back often. Good stuff. Please share with your friends and help me promote this thing. Thanks.

Thanks guys. As much as I've done to make the site easily maintainable (it's entirely database-driven), it's still going to require a huge effort to keep up-to-date. If anyone is willing to help me maintain/promote it, please let me know. Thanks much and please spread the word about the site.

If I flunk out of school, it's going to be your fault.
