We are hurting for these since, oh, about the 1980s, when there were more than enough anti-establishment wiseguys and frontal nudity for everyone. Are "Old School" and "Wedding Crashers" a sign that the salad days are back? And is "Slap Shot" the best R-Rated Comedy of all time?

Slap shot was great, but I think the best all-time R-Rated movie was Animal House.

Would you include Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle in that list or not?

I think studio's are still afraid to put out R-rated comedies, but they're coming back, slowly but surely.

I think you have to give credit to the first American Pie. If I'm not mistaken, that was the first hit R-rated comedy in some time and the first comedy that I know of that came with an unrated video/DVD.

You are not mistaken and to add to it I believe it was the first R-rated comedy to make over $100 million at the box office.
