Or have we got an amazing squad? The size of the Antartic ice sheets.

Worth more than some teams cost.

I think the team should aim for top 4, but anything less than Europe is underachieving. The squad is amazing this year.

The only thing we have to be worried about is to much expectation on the team. The squad is the best we have ever had with so much depth.

You all have a great squad this year. Europe or bust in 05/06.

That's what I was hinting at.

Spurs are very, very talented this year and I'm a bit worried that anything but top 6 will be a crushing blow to morale.

We must get into Europe though, coming so close as we did last season the expectation is going to be huge this season.

It is a case of Euro or bust. This is the kind of squad I have been dreaming about.

We have a better squad that Liverpool. We should realistically be looking at a top 5 finish, but 4th wouldn't go amiss.

It's the best Tottenham squad I've ever seen.

A top six finish is within our grasp this season!

...we have Robinson, King, Davids, Carrick, Defoe, Keane.......shall I go on?

I don't care what any of you say. IMO we have a better team. They have a much better midfield, but we beat them in all the other areas of the pitch.

Cisse?

Please.. :)

I have a feeling Liverpool will be competing with us for a place in Europe though. They aren't good enough yet to challenge Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U.

i reckon Liverpool will be top 4 this season, they won't challange Arsenal, Chelsea or Man Utd but they'll come 4th

we only finished 7 points behind them last season? i reckon we can finish just as high as them.

It honestly doesnt matter who Liverpool has they're still Liverpool and I firmly believe Spurs will "Everton" the lot of them this season (although it won't be near as much of a suprise.

...Everton will finish 10 this season.

Why don't the strengthen their squad??

Are they that skint?

Who have they signed apart from Kuldrup?

Liverpool have a very good coach and very good squad. I'm a fan of Cisse. But considering our talent, we should be jostling with Liverpool for the 4th spot IMHO, and anything less than 6th is an abject failure.

Two things concern me though. 1) Davids doesn't tend to stay in one place very long, so I really worry that just as he jells with the team, he will not be here more than 1 season. 2) We have a lot of new and young players, both of which require time to adjust to their surroundings and one another, so I worry how long it may take for the team to really have an understanding of one another. I think Carrick will be particularly important for this, so I really hope he stays healthy all season.

But with Davenport and Dawson coming through, and King in his prime, and Edman showing to be a quality left back, I think we are going to be fine in the back for quite a while. My concerns are the jelling of the midfield, and the happiness of the forwards who must all share time. Really, its the perfect situation for Kanoute, oft-injured, but uber-productive when healthy.

I meant that Spurs will be the Everton 04-05 (best of the rest) of this season.

Don't ask me what anybody from Liverpool has done this season aside from steal hubcaps. :)
