So I went and saw this movie last night, March of the Penguins. Absolutely phenomenal. Seriously one of the cooler movies/documentaries I have seen in a while. Just go see it.

Is it as cool as that bear movie a couple years back?

I thought about going and seeing it as well, as a goof of course.

I'm never going to the movies again, so I'll wait for the DVD.

Bear movie?

Seriously, penguins have it wired. Those things are fascinating.

See it in the theater. Or a huge screen TV.

You know I have the 64 inch plasma, I can wait for the DVD.

What is the movie about?

The bear movie I don't really remember all that much apart from it was totally sad. The momma bear gets killed, and then the cub bear has to fend for itself the rest of the movie. It was a true tear jerker.

Does it end with that Californian fella getting devoured whole?

It shows the typical year of Penguins from mating to caring for the baby and then letting it go, its more than that though. It's really good stuff.

Is the mating process as entertaining as Faith No More's Songs to Make Love to cover?

For convenience and those who don't have the level of street cred that I've attained:

havn't seen Penguins, but I was thinking about it. If it's anything like Winged Migration, I'll be happy. That movie was AMAZING.

Absolutely phenomenal.
Were you drinking a bit during this movie?

I took Zoe to the theatre today in hopes that she'd be able to watch Madagascar, but apparently it's not at Tinseltown anymore. So we looked for "G" rated movies she'd want to see, and she said she wanted to see this movie. I figured it was some animated Disney flick. Now, don't get me wrong, it was a cute movie and an informative documentary...

But I wouldn't say "absolutely phenomenal"... Also, it's a little scary at parts for kids. I know during the vulture scenes, Zoe was literally in my lap begging me to take her out of the theatre.

This movie reminded me of a movie, in high school, that I would have picked to make out in at the last showing during a school night.

Btw - I didn't even take a look at this thread 'till after I saw the flick. I figured "March of the Penguins" had something to do with the ***** music Zak and Hang listen to. :D

Given your taste in 100 other things you've mentioned on this board I would have guessed you would have this reaction.

The reaction that it wasn't "absolutely phenomenal"? Well, it wasn't. It was real good, and I'm still raving to my friends about it... But I wouldn't give it that form of title. Perhaps, you were just being overzealous when you said those words.
