Assuming Baros stays, out of our four main strikers, who would you like to see starting? I'm also discounting FSP and Mellor, since the chances of them getting playing time/people voting for them are miniscule.

I have voted for cisse/baros because i still have some hope in baros and our speed up front will be breaking down opposition defences but i rather see moro/cisse i dont like the idea of a lone striker cause it seems to bring a great workload on the strikers shoulder.

I like FSP off the bench.

I do too, and am actually a big fan of his play. But I just don't see him (for now, at least) fitting into the first-choice lineup.

I don't think their will be a "main" strike partnership. Its going to be changing all the time. But I voted for Morientes and Cisse. They are our two best strikers and they complement each other well.
Also, Le Tallec/Cisse should be one of the options. They have played really well together in preseason.

Cisse up front with Morientes slightly behind him.

Before Cisse broke his leg against Rovers, Rafa tried the Cisse/Baros combination and it never worked. Over the two months that they tried to forge a partnership, they never got in sync in terms of finding each other off the ball.
Since "Whatever Rafa decides" wasn't one of the voting choices, I didn't vote. Rafa now has a plethora of forwards that offer him many different combinations and "possibilities", depending on the opposition. Because of the various types of defenses Liverpool will face over the season, there is no sure-fire forward combination that will work all the time, or even most of the time.

Has Le Tallec been playing a true strikers role, or has it been in the hole right behind Cissé? I haven't seen any matches so far.

I voted for Crouch/Cisse because of the fear they would both cause in opposing defenses. Our opponents would have to pick their poison try to avoid the air attack or try to contain Cisse's speed.

And add Gerrard, Alonso, Zenden and Garcia behind them. WoW!!!!!

I don't think Baros will be around for much longer. All of a sudden the transfer rumors have gone very quiet because Rafa needs to raise some cash. This won't happen unless number 5 is sold.

It was a bit tongue in cheek but wow
Did you see the first leg??
He was awful apart from the neat pass to Gerrard.
Really awful.
Painful.
And he didnt exactly light up the league when he came last year.
Excuse me from expecting more from a man that has 25 goals in 38 games for his country and was top scorer of the 2004-2005 Champions League leading his team to the final.

I think that's why it's a bit ridiculous to say he's horrible. He hasn't played very well since coming to Liverpool, but he hasn't had much of a chance to get in a rythm, considering he was cup-tied when he got here last year. He was also very rusty considering he hadn't played for Real in forever.
I know those sound like lame excuses, but I think you're being a little hard on him. He obviously is a talent, so let's give him a little time to adapt and get settled. If after a year of EPL and CL games with the club he still is not scoring many goals, then we should be upset. Until then I'll reserve judgment.

tongue in cheek :)
I'm not writing him off, just saying that I expect alot from him this season - 15-20 goals in the Prem. And his game against TNS didnt give me any confidence that he'll reach these numbers.
